For those with a mac connected to a HDTV I can highly recommend /Plex (http://www.plexapp.com) for your media needs.

I've just got round to setting it up with the scrapper and adding shows and movies and it's brilliant. I even managed to get our new harmony remote to wake the Mini from sleep and launch plex and it will even put it to sleep too :D

Might give it a go, but is it much better than Front Row? I got my MacBook Pro for xmas and loving Front Row (as I can use my iPod dock remote :D)

OMG This app is AMAZING.

If you browse your TV shows, it sets the background and even plays the shows theme while your selecting the episode. Shows descriptions, ratings, all sorts!!! You can even browse a photowall style page with pictures of different actors from your TV shows.

Best. Application. EVER.
