Didn't realise till just now but I've got 2 guest passes for Killing Floor on Steam.
Think you only get to play for free for 3 days but if anyone fancies it, let me know your username either here or via PM.

Well the missus is back at work for the next three days, so could well be worth a laugh if I can tear myself away from GTA IV :D

steam id= dymetrie

Looks like I've got to add you to my friends list first. Once you've added me back I can send it over :)

One left then!

Sorted :)

Will get it installed in the morning (Quentin Crisp this evening!) and hopefully there shall be some good co-op cleansing of failed experiments tomorrow :D

It's something that a simple search (http://store.steampowered.com/app/1250/) will tell you about :p

Weird.
Click on the link you posted and the game (and its expansion packs) are more expensive than they are on the Steam home page.

As this is becoming a habit, and it seems I'm turning you into my gaming guru, is this worth a purchase too?
:D

Hehe :)
I quite liked it. It's much like Left4Dead but slower paced and more about survival than killing everything that moves. You have to face off against waves of zombies which can get pretty overwhelming even on lower difficulty levels, especially as ammo is frequently limited.

The crucial thing is, it is handy to have a few friends available to play alongside to get the most out of it. You can play it with randoms but tactics wise, it's much more fun to play alongside people you know and use voice comms frequently.

Ok, so slight problem with available time until now, but have just tried to launch the game, twice, and get this lovely error:

Build UT2004_Build_[2004-11-11_10.48]

OS: Windows NT 6.1 (Build: 7100)
CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2212 MHz with 4095MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (9107)

Error setting display mode: CreateDevice failed (80070057). Please delete your KillingFloor.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game.

History: UD3D9RenderDevice::UnSetRes <- CreateDevice <- UD3D9RenderDevice::SetRes <- HandleBigChange <- UD3D9RenderDevice::Lock <- UViewport::Lock <- UWindowsViewport::Lock <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- Level Untitled <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Realloc <- 4C576C61 0 FArray <- FArray::Realloc <- 0*2 <- FMallocWindows::Free

Had to restart (explorer stopped working and I couldn't get it back) between attempted launches and deleted the suggester *.ini file to no avail :(

Managed to get it running in the end (not sure how) and once I'd changed the resolution to 1280x1024 (from 800x600!!!!) then it was pretty good.

Had a good half hour blast on it before Mrs Dym got home and thought it was pretty funky, if remarkably challenging!

Unfortunately, as I've just picked up Left 4 Dead (for £6 :D) then I'm afraid that out-cools this one :p
