Twelfe Night
The decorations on my tree have been really beautiful this year and I was quite sad to put them away, especially the special ones that my Mum has bought me like this little cat angel. It means Christmas is really over now. I'll see them again next year though :)

No idea how colour/brightness of this pic looks on other people's screens. My monitor has been a bit odd recently and the picture I save is not the same colour as the one I've worked on in PS. Oh well, hope it looks OK.

Ok so mine will be a bit crappier than the other two fab efforts so far, but this pic fascinated me, it was taken looking down on the pot, the top was frozen, and I just found it really clever how it had happened.

I was having trouble choosing between three, but I have chosen this one because I like the colouring, the focus on the berry, plus it helps that it has snow :D

Octopus
I ran out of time this week, so I'm using a photograph that I took with my trusty little Panasonic Lumix whilst I was cooking. We bought some fresh octopus in Morrisons on Friday and I cooked it last night. It's kinda in keeping with the theme, because I'd applied 100 degrees celcius to this octopus for 10 mins to make him all curly before I chopped him up and took the photo :) I just like the texture & shape of octopus tentacles.

Been kind of preoccupied this last week so I only took a few pretty half arsed efforts and then went to town with the digital darkroom. Not one for the purists. Sorry.

Week 2 - Temperature

Week 3 - Numbers "(or lack of)"

I went to Cambridge last week and went on a walking tour. This is the Corpus clock which was unveiled by Stephen Hawking. It has no numbers or hands and is powered by a grasshopper - which was used because the creature on its own represents insignificance and disease and plaque. It creates a haunting image as it is seen to 'eat up' time.

I had planned to take pictures of the swarms of starlings that roost in Otmoor but instead of the anticipated 50,000 birds only about 50 showed up ;D Which wasn't that impressive:

This seemed appropriate, given the timing :)

This weeks photo is flowers for my Great Aunty Jess, my Nan's best friend of 85 years and Sister in Law, whom I was very close to when I was growing up. She died in 2001, on the 20 February, just a month before her 95th birthday.

Every year around the anniversary of her passing, I buy the biggest, pinkest bunch of flowers that she'd have absolutely loved, and I keep them in my house in memory of her. Every time I look at them I think of her. RIP AJ, still loved, still missed (along with your fantastic scones ;)) <3xxxx

This is an amazingly beautiful church which is a few seconds from the main road into Birmingham and 5 mins from the centre of Birmingham, yet it is deadily quiet. Very Nice. This was also taken at 9:30 at night!

I am sure people have heard in the news about BT and CWU having discussions about pay, well it is all abit manic at work at the minute and all because of the possibility of a strike. Strang times.

Due to a variety of reasons this fell by the wayside for me but I'd like to start doing it again. I'm going to do my best to catch up so tink, what themes did you do for 18-24?

To help everyone with coming up with ideas for themes I've decided to make use of a word generator :) and these are the themes to bring us up to date;

25:Wild
26:Limit
27:Protection
28:Gadgets
29:Favourite
30:symmetry
31:Learning

I'll update Kitten's post with all the themes so far and if you can catch up great but don't worry about missing any weeks out. I don't think I did Easter and am not sure if there is any source material around to do that theme so I'll probably skip it.

If anyone would like to suggest different themes then please feel free to, those are just suggestions.
