Lord Bath has made the decision....


....to close the Monkey Jungle at Longleat...


...forever.

'Lord Bath has taken the difficult decision over the winter that the Monkey Jungle will now be permanently closed to drive through traffic.

Longleat is in the process of working up designs for a new drive past Monkey Jungle and we will keep visitors updated on this as the designs progress. We apologise in advance for any disappointment felt and can assure you that this is not a decision that has been taken lightly and has caused great disappointment with staff also. '

Im not sure, there has always been an opt out road if you dont want to drive through them, but the enclosure is huge so I don't know if you would see any :(

I'm devastated :(

I was greatly anticipating it's reopening as our car is pieced together with ducting tape, polyfiller and hope; it was a guaranteed monkey party on our car but now... it's just a car.

With no monkeys.
