View Full Version : One born every minute - channel 4 now.
Jesus H!! Matt if you want to know how NOT to support Heather during labour watch this programme. I want to drag him out and shove a hedgehog down his weener, see if he has a 'low pain threshold'! Tw*t!
Good programme though.....beware, there's body juices!
Saw it last week - Forgot it was on today! Damn!!!!

Channel 4 plus one!!!
Go go go!!! I am recording it! :D
I did not cry when the little baby wasn't breathing properly because it reminded me of when Ella was born and I pooed when she didn't cry and got whisked off by 2 paedeatricians and hoovered out under the baby grill.
I had something in my eye.
I had weird flashbacks to Sophie, something I don't think I've got to grips with yet. (she nearly died and I didn't see her until the next day....they didn't tell us what was going on either).
I want to watch this but I think its always on when 90210 is on :p either that or Rob won't let me! lol

Thanks for the heads up but I'm giving this a miss, I get the impression that it will be overdramatised and created from footage where things didn't go right or parents were useless. I think I'd rather enter into this with no preconceptions and having read factual stuff.
Let's face it, if someone watched Police Camera Action and it was their only experience of British roads they might be a little nervous about getting behind the wheel for the first time :)

It's pretty good, there was a few 'normal' families/births. I wouldn't be afraid of taking a peek. :)

Really enjoying this series. Glad to see the baby from episode one went home healthy.
Quite how that bloke didnt get a punch I dont know. And the bit with the baby not breathing normally, its good to see the nursing staff not panicking, just doing what they have to, and more importantly not panicking the parents. :)

I'd drive in America in the hope of meeting sherrif John Burnell.
I think it's a cracking programme :)
It takes you through a whole range of emotions, much like the event itself I imagine. You smile, you laugh, you want to cry. Watch it....it's not all drama :)
My wife can't stop watching this program - which I think is her being a glutton for punishment as she's due to drop our first baby in a matter of weeks!
:o
;D
It doesn't look much fun if you've got lady bits.
Luckily we have selective memories, else I'd only have a Sophie :)
actually if anything was going to put me off it was having Sophie....a fairly grim experience. But, my very humble opinion is that childbirth is a tiny speck in the 'having a child' experience. Yes it hurts, yes it's scarey as hell, but it's just a few hours in what will be an entire lifetime. It very very quickly becomes something you just dont give any thought to.
And I'm not trying to undermine anyones fears or experiences, we're all different :)

If I'd have been like him, Lom would've filled me in.

Too right I would have done, it was bad enough when you try stealing the gas and air off me, grrrr :p
I was very lucky, you were awesome :D

Grrr its that bloody annoying woman called Joy! She's anything but Joy, and quite how her other half puts up with her moods I have no idea.
"Can you stop walking its irritating me!"
"Where's my meal"
etc etc ;D

HAHAHA! "Da whole Hand!"
Has she not realised she has to push a WHOLE baby out! ;D
Watching it on +1......she's hilarious?! I live her facial expressions! 'only breathe out? How can I do that? I need to breathe in!' Love her!!
I loved her husband putting on relaxing music and dimming the lights, then spending forever squeaking around adjusting himself to get comfy in an old chair. Class editing !!

I've discovered I'm completely incapable of watching a baby be born without blubbing.
And Rog, I love that you're enjoying this too! Quality!

That couple are well funny.
"What's wrong with a Thai name?"
"They sound funny...let's have an Italian name"
"No, Italian names sound stupid"
