It's how Jean Reno pronounces it. He's awesome.

Why have I picked so many beginning with C?? As a traditional name in France and here I really should include my own... Michelle.

Amelie is a nice name. Nice pretty French girl in a film as well :)

Try to steer your friend away from calling her daughter place names like Chelsea, Brooklyn, Bath, London etc. It's so cheap and underclass imo.

Lorraine

French meaning - An Area in Eastern France
German meaning - Made famous in Battle
English meaning - Quiche!

:D;D;D;D

My name, I used to be terrified of eating quiche!

I'm not sure if it has any French links but it's traditional; Cassandra. If I have a girl that will be her name :)

Does that mean my girls have to too? :(
Ykwim though, some names aren't so great as grown up names and some names are far too grown up, seen lots of really old names on little girls here, parents with posh voices shouting "Dorris do not climb on that wall" Ethel is another, Gertrude. could be worse though, could call their child Janet in the 80s

Calling a child Ethel is tantamount to child abuse tbqfh

My friend had her little girl a few weeks ago by c-sect as mummy was poorly with BP and she had that condition where she was loosing amniotic fluid (excuse spelling) spent 10weeks in and out of hospital and so ended up having her 4weeks early.
Little Lady is called, Arabella Rose.. she loved Isabella Rose from my little girl and so thats what they came up with in the end.
Never heard of the name Arabella before.

I thought of Jonny's post when I saw you had called Roo Amelie :D
