I enjoyed that tonight, I thought he fitted well into the character once he'd developed a bit and turned off the obvious Tennantness he was putting on, the new doris is cute albeit too skinny and the theme music is an absolute abortion.

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series especially this...

Daleks in OD with blackout covers on their lights, webbing and Union flags on them!

Must say that I agree with you, Sir :)

I thought the Tenant quirks, which faded and were replaced by new quirks, was quite a good way of showing the regeneration and transformation into a new personality. Smith pulled it off very well.

Definitely looking forward to see how the series pans out, and definitely looking forward to the return of the "Weeping Angels"!

Kari and I really enjoyed it. Started out a bit Tennant/Doctor but as the show went on more and more different quirks came through. Odd bits of sarcasm cropping up :)

I'm reasonably confident about the future of the Doctor in Moffat's hands, he's the writer of most of my favourite episodes so far anyway.

Felt really sorry for littlest Miss Pond when she packed her suitcase and sat on it outside.

The shot of the Daleks with the Union flag was very interesting! Slightly SteamPunk-esque tardis is a bit weird. Not sure what to make of it, but I guess it fits into the slightly eccentric persona he's displaying.

When Doctor who first returned I didn't like it at all. Started getting into it end of last series and now can't wait for next episode.

Agree she is very cute but needs a few burgers.

I actually quite enjoyed it, but on purposely ignored the previews for the rest of the series :p I prefer to enjoy it as it happens but thats just me. I'm probably in the minority in the fact I'm not looking forward to the daleks. They used to work way back when but I just don't find they work for me anymore, each to their own. I am quite happy for them to prove me wrong though :)

I'm enjoying it very much at the moment, was a little let down by the theme music though.

The first episode with a new Doctor tends to be a bit weak as they establish themself but I saw a lot last night that I liked and not all of it was Karen Gillian in Uniform http://forums.seloc.org/images/smilies/wub.gif

I enjoyed it :) I liked how the music and the intro seemed more turbulent and the new tardis is all shiny and spangly and has things that go ding :)

Really hope they have some guest eye candy through

I'm not sure what to make of that tonight, a potentially decent setting but really let down by those awful iPod colour Daleks. I thought the WWII livery worked really well on them but the new design is just awful.

The story wasn't great, it needs to get better than this over the next few weeks.

I wasn't bothered by the new design, it's not a radical overhaul, and woooo primary and secondary colours. Joy. It did seem rather pointless. I though what was an awesome setting was a little let down by the story in the end. That setting strikes me as perfect for a 2-part or even full serial length story.

Its was Mark Gatis pened episode so it was always going to be a bit tounge in cheek, can't say I was impressed with the new designs either apart from the restyling on the eyestalk which I liked.

iDaleks. Why hasn't Apple caught on to this idea yet? :)

Haven't really got into this series yet - what with being away, being ill, and all the changes. I'll have a mass catch up on iPlayer in due course.

Josh thinks the new iDaleks are "awesome". He likes the the white one best because it's in charge.

If they weren't coloured like a kids party, they'd be much more menacing. I thought Ian McNeice was very good as "Churchill".

I really think they could have done the dalek spaceship outside sequence a lot better. Spitfires in space with lasers?????

One thing that didn't feel right was Churchill's dialogue. We're talking about a man renowned for his oratory, and his huge vocabulary.
I wouldn't say the conversations in Saturdays episode with him were insipid, but they weren't all that far off.
