I'm only just starting to build my new pc after collecting parts since October last year.

A question for all other Raven 2 owners, how have you fitted your psu's?

My Corsair psu is about 1 inch short for the fan to line up with the external grill.

I now have the following choice:

1) Fit the psu with the cooling fan facing the rear grill (and dust filter) as per the designed layout.

PSU fan would partially be obstructed from taking in air due to the 1 inch overlap at the top of the grill.

2) Fit the psu with the cooling fan facing inwards.

PSU would act as an exhaust taking air from within the case near to the Corsair H50 radiator (push pull mounted fan setup).

A possible third choice would be to find/make/mod some kind of metal plate to fit between the top of the case and the PSU while mounting it to line up with the external grill.

Any ideas/suggestions?

**Edit**

Here is a internal shot of somebody else’s case with an HX Corsair PSU which looks like it fitted from top to bottom without any issues lining up with the rear grill.

Red marks indicate where the psu would sit in relation to the Yellow grill on the rear.

Jesus H Christ, what on earth are you putting in that PC that will need a TX950?!

Personally, i'd just stick it in there, unless you're planning on running 3 high power graphics cards or something I doubt you'll be making a TX950 sweat much anyway.

Overkill I know but I wanted something for crossfire setup for later on (though I already have 2x Asus 5850's after an order cock-up).

A TX650 would handle Crossfire 5850s with room to spare :p

Seriously though, i'd just put it in and not worry too much, you'd need a serious serious amount of kit in there before you push that TX950 beyond 50% load. With only one graphics card in it (GTX470/480 excluded :p) I'd be surprised if the fan even needed to spin up really.

Fitted it with the fan facing the rear grill.

I may (though probably not) try switching it round to see what it's like acting as an exhaust for the warmer air inside.
