Synergy - PC & Mac - connection woes

Don't know if any of you guys use Synergy, hope someone does.

I've got the standard PC version installed from sourceforge and then quicksynergy on my mac which I intended as the host system.

All appeared well until I got the error on my PC that the connection was forcefully refused from the mac. I turned off the firewall but that didn't help.

Does anybody know what else I might need to change in order to get these two to communicate?

I had it working previously but I stopped when my PC server boxings went under the stairs and I now access it via Chicken of the VNC. I'll have a look and see if I left the software on the systems and what I did to make it work but I can't promise anything.

Thanks. I'll have my second mouse soon, but if it worked then it'd be nice to have some space left on my desk ;D
