View Full Version : 360 : What to do with a spare 360?

After managing to get my old 360 repaired by MS, I don't know what to do with it. Don't need one upstairs for gaming and even as a media extender, it would be a bit noisy for my liking and wouldn't get a great deal of use.

Not sure I can be bothered to sell it. Do they sell for much these days? Wouldn't have thought I'd even clear £50 for it so would rather keep hold of it.

Anything else remotely cool or fun I could do with it?

Mt bro would probably take you on an offer right now :p If you want some easy cash? Other than that they don't do all that much, they're not as hackable as the original are they? Which is an shame... I might even think about buying it just for Alan Wake since i remember really wanting it about FIVE years ago ;D

Give it to me, because you love me so much! :D

Tis a shame it can't be used for anything and it's a waste just leaving it sitting around. Nieces and nephews already have consoles and enough toys and I don't love Dym THAT much despite what he might say ;D

Go on then Alex, what is he looking at and I'll give it a think. Xbox Premium just back from MS repair, Power Brick, Component or VGA cable, Wireless Controller. Doesn't have any HDD though.

He said he'd be easy game for £50 except he's just paid his annual car insurance this month and is totally penniless; poor sod. If you're in no rush to get rid he'll still have it when he has some kind of money next month though? But fair enough if you're just trying to shift it somewhere else :)

//Edit: Ok he wants to clarify he said £40 and i said £50 :p Hahaha

lol, I'll have a think. To be honest though, at that sort of money (and I know it's a fair price), I'd rather give it to a local kids charity or something. This is the annoying thing, it's not chuck away money but it's not something I'd jump at either.

Ho hum.....what to do?

Plus i know you have the ass of postage as well, i totally understand man, and you do whatever you want, he really won't mind too much since he's been after one for a while since he broke his last one trying to fix it i think... He'll get a secondhand one way or another :)

Yeah as a donation to a charity i'd be happy to say i can't afford that kind of amaount right now ;D

Desmo

Go for it :D

Post dating a cheque isn't legal so I'd just cash it anyway and it would go through the bank :p

If you're still trying to decide what to do with it, I'll take it off your hands as my 360 is dying.

Sorry mate, didn't see this until yesterday. Could have chatted about it on Saturday night.

Would you just want the box or all the gubbins too? Make me an offer and I'll give it a think. Must admit I'm slanting towards getting rid now as I really can't see me using it in any way.

Just the 360 itself. I've no idea what the going rate is, have you got a figure in mind?

Desmo
26-04-2010, 10:11
£800 again ;D

Not sure what the going rate is myself. I'll take a look and see what's about and then add £750.

This is NOT HDMI and has no HDD by the way, just in case it matters to you.

Glaucus

and it would go through the bank :p

It would bounce or leave me with a massive unarranged overdraft fine.

Although i would be interested in buying it all, Although again I have no idea what it's worth.

I've got a few I'm watching on ebay to see what the going rate is and will just use that as a guide I guess :)

No problem, that suits me fine. Good idea on eBay watching, I hadn't thought of that.

OK, most on ebay seem to go for around £50 for just the box to £70+ with everything and games so it's a hard one to call. That's plus delivery as well.

I'm happy to go with £45 for the box only and £65 for the whole kit and a game or two. I think Leon still has a load of my games so I'll have to grab them back if you want any. Those prices include signed for courier delivery as well :)

It's also under warranty until 7 December 2010 so would be happy to arrange should the worst happen.

Let me know if you guys are interested.

£45 sounds good to me, I'll take it. PM me your bank details and I'll get the transfer sorted.
