Selling my 5,1 15" Unibody Macbook Pro Late 2008 model.

15" glossy display
4Gb RAM (Apple supplied and fitted upgrade from 2Gb)
320Gb Western Digital WD320BEKT 7200 Hard drive (upgraded from stock 250Gb 5400)
9400M/9600M graphics
1440x900 resolution
backlit keyboard

All the usual stuff.

It's in perfect working order and has just one tiny mark which I've highlighted in the first picture even though it's barely visible. Apart from that it's mint.

First and second pictures taken without flash and the third one is with flash hence the reflections on the screen.

Will come with original box and all paperwork, Applecare is valid until 3rd March 2012 and can be checked on the Apple web site.

I will also throw in the Pakuma Choroka K1 (http://www.pakuma.com/products/choroka_k1.htm) Messenger bag I have in Brown/Grey (best colour combo of the lot, normally £40) and the SFBags suede (http://www.sfbags.com/products/laptopsuedejacket/laptopsuedejacket.htm) slip cover (cost me £30 including shipping).

The battery has had 43 cycles and is showing at 97% of original capacity in coconutBattery.

I really don't want to sell this laptop but unexpected car related expenditure is forcing me to. I have an iPad now but even though my Macbook Pro has been idle since I got it, I'm not keen on selling it. I said in the OcUK Apple forums that the iPad can replace the laptop but it still feels wrong to be selling such a lovely piece of kit.

The supplied disks will install iLife 09 and Leopard - I have the Snow Leopard family pack so technically I can install Snow Leopard but you won't get the media for that because I still have two other Macs.

The closest equivalent of this model is now the base model Macbook Pro which retails at £1,499 and you only get one year Applecare.

I'll take £1,000 for this ideally by bank transfer which I think it a very good price considering the hard drive and memory upgrades, the Pakuma bag, slip case and extended Applecare. This includes insured next day courier to the UK. I won't send overseas.

So so tempted... but it would be a frivolous expenditure. Cracking deal though.

I'm open to sensible offers on this and I'll even accept payment in two parts from people I know and trust. I really have to have some cash in my account in the next two days or I'm up **** creek without a paddle. It's my only option *hangs head*

Exact same problem. :(

Hope you get a good price even though you don't want to sell.

Massive price drop - £925.

These are selling on eBay for £1,100 to £1,200 without the bag and no Applecare.
