...it seems I got myself a 360.

£195 for an Elite, Forza 3, ODST, FIFA World Cup and a MS HDMI cable, hopefully -3.5% quidco and I traded in ODST and FIFA so I can get Red Dead when there is more stock around next week.

Got it hooked up to my monitor via HDMI, sound into my PC line in and net connection via a bridge on my PC, all working lovely.

Pretty pleased with that :o

I did wonder when I saw that friends request :D

Sounds a good deal to me :)

I added a few people then I got bored of typing all the usernames so I stopped and figured i'd do more tomorrow :p

If people want to just add me instead, it's divineImadness (with a capital I in the middle) :D

Glad you finally got one, although I question trading in ODST, that was my Game of the Year for 2009. I absolutely loved it.

Hope you get a lot of life from it, it's definitely worth sticking with. If you ever want to play anything online, just leave me a message through XBL, or if you're online, just send me an invite :).

"Cashback on Reserve and Collect purchases will only be paid if you use the specific Reserve and Collect counter when picking up your goods"

I'll be interested to see if I get the cashback or not actually, as the store I went to was so small they didn't have a dedicated counter for it...

As for ODST, i've never really been a fan of Halo games so I don't think i'll miss it, though i'm fairly sure I could borrow it from a mate if I wanted :)

edit - random question, it'll be ok vertical I take it? It's stood behind my screen atm but if it'd be significantly better having it horizontal I could put it underneath...

Horizontal would be better only because there is less risk of it being knocked/wobbled while stood vertical.

Mine was vertical all throughout its first year without any problems. It was in a place that it couldn't really be knocked though (between PC tower and monitor iirc) which is the important thing imo.

Just make sure it's got decent ventilation really :)

You'll be fine, just install all your games so that if it gets knocked whilst playing it doesn't scratch any discs :).

Any suggestions for decent older games that I might fancy picking up cheap?

Preferably stuff that didn't also arrive on PC as chances are if I wanted it, i'd have got it for the PC anyway.
