I'm fed up with crumbs from the home bake bread all over the place.. not only is it messy but also a waste so I'm looking to get one of those boards that catch the crumbs....

I've had a look about and it seems that there are varying qualities and a common problem with them is slats warping and coming loose.

Anyone have a tried and tested one they use?

I've been looking on Amazon and the JP (http://www.jean-patrique.co.uk/159/product_detail.html) and JO (http://www.jamieoliver.com/jme/kitchen/serveware/info/breadboard/100013.html?isource=ppc_wood_prod&gclid=CJLPzLfGuaICFUeZ2AodXX4m6w) one too. almost extremes of the price scale

no idea which is good but looks a good idea, we always end up with crumbs sticking to bottom of feet and getting trampled around the house

Looks like a good idea I guess.

Always been nervous about Jean-Patrique though. It's a faked up brand and I'm nervous about the quality of their rather highly priced products when they practically give them away in the 'offers' in the back of newspapers.

We got the JP knives and 2 years later (?) we have no issues with them. Keep 'em sharp and hand wash them. No problems

Me too kitten (except the sharp bit.. soon to be resolved though) And the board isn't exactly expensive... but too much if it is rubbish, though some on Amazon at £20+ have terrible reviews.

Ooh I would like one of these too - travelling crumbs are so annoying. I'm afraid I don't have any recommendations but I'll be watching these thread for when someone does.

I've just noticed that their tagline in the header on their main page says "chef's" in the sentence 'professional features that chefs demand in the kitchen'. They don't seem to repeat the error anywhere else, just on the picture that is displayed on every single page of their website. ;D

The huge amount of knives I got from them for £50 seem to be doing OK though. :)

Mine have been fine too - or at least the only one I actually use much has. :)

I need one of these too. Let me know what you decide and how it is, ladypants.
