Never been to a wedding before and have no idea what to wear! :(
Obviously suit but what colours? Wedding is at 2.30pm here (http://www.harburnhouse.com/index.html).
Educate a noob! :)
any colour is fine really ( within reason )
Yeah, I'd wear whatever made me look and feel good. So nice suit, shirt, tie. Simple.
I've got a good friend's wedding in October, I've been considering a new suit for that recently. Gotta look good. He's the first of 6 of us to get married and his proposal came the week after he'd finished at Oxford medical school!
Last 2 weddings I've been to don't really count as was usher for one so had to get the chosen suit and groom at the other so even less choice!
Generally though, I think smart trousers and shirt, maybe a tie is fine. Suits to me are for business use - unless you have an evening wear suit.
That's just me of course

You're Scottish aren't you? A kilt is the obvious suggestion although whether you'd have time to hire it before the wedding probably makes it a moot point.
Hope you have a nice day for it either way.
If it's going to be warm I can heartily recommend a linen suit, you'll be less hot. :)

Suit is the best thing to go for, regards to colour, I'd go for grey or dark blue if you haven't got one and are planning on buying one.
Will's suggestion of a linen suit is a good idea given the weather but not really something you can wear in the winter

A couple of my mates who are English but living up in Scotland wear kilts for weddings and things like that. Kilts are great fun to wear and usually go down well in any company (fnar fnar) but no bother, it was just a suggestion. :)

You know you are going to be the odd one out right ;) Kilts..... one of the best things about Scottish weddings :)
Whatever colour suit you like will be fine. Have a good time :)
I need a reason to wear a kilt, Mrs. Feek reckons I have the build for it and that it'd suit me.
If you ever get a kilt make sure you get the right length. There seem to be a lot of young boys these days in kilts that are waaaaayyy too long for them. A kilt should be the length that if you kneel down the kilt edge just touches the floor.
If and when I ever do, it'll be somewhere in Scotland and I'll come up just for that, I've just been reading about them and it seems that on us *ahem* stouter *ahem* gentlemen that the kilt should sit around the belly rather than below it as my trousers all do so it will definitely have to be custom made. I've got a feeling (oooo-hooooo) that it'll be expensive if I ever do it so it'll need to be right.

As Muban says you've got to make sure the kilt hangs right, I'd always been told it should be mid-point of the knee as you're standing up which would equate to touching the floor as you're kneeling down. Kilts do suit stouter gentlemen quite well but it shouldn't be much more expensive, if any, than any other kilt fitting - however any kilt isn't a particularly cheap option especially if you get the full outfit at once.
Possibly the most important advice I can give you about wearing a kilt - make sure you tuck the sporran to the side when ceilidh dancing, it's a painful lesson if you don't but you'll only do it once. You'll also end up being the focus of attention for any hen party, especially the middle aged hen parties - oh the humanity. :o

In my case, dark suit, white shirt/t-shirt, red converse all stars.

That's quite a feat i honestly thought they made a suit ANY size!? If you go the right places :)
Also nae worries about wearing a suit to a scottish wedding. Been to a few and i'd rather wear a suit than a kilt, to save the abuse i'd take for wearing a kilt and not being scottish.

ah I see no suit :/ I'd guess any shirt-tie combination from a shop would be best :)
