Install utorrent and leave it standard, theres nout wrong with the standard settings... Make sure your router is upnp compatible, otherwise manually set a port forward (dependant on model) so utorrent has full internet access... Only thing i do change, is set the seed limit to maybe 150% then stop seeding afterwards :)

Just don't do it at work!

Don't laugh! One of our lot did. Idiot! You'd have thought that at an IT company (a) they'd know better and (b) they'd know they'd get caught. Luckily it was just a cease and desist and no further action was taken.

I often wonder what I did wrong setting things up. If you look at my speed graph it looks like a sawtooth waveform. It will ramp up to 1MB for about 5 minutes then it will break connection and die off.

I know it's not uTorrent as everything dies off. It's gotta be the router, but this is the second one that's done the same thing. One Belkin and one Linksys. I think it's my ****ty ISP doing it to me...

Lol. I knew something was wrong when I installed the program. The one I normally use is the Utorrent, but end up installing the bit-torrent. I will have to uninstall it now and try the right one I wanted.

Lmao@the person who tried it at work. I think it automatically block and locks out the user, so you will have to contact IT support.

Yeah its probably likely to be ISP traffic shaping unfortunately... :( Either by layer7 i think its called (so the type of traffic it is) or just by the sheer amount of connections and bandwidth you're pulling each awy i guess... Sucks but its mostly the way of the world!
