View Full Version : The Expendables
I am so excited about this. Its all my heros in one film! Its just missing Jean-Claude Van Damme.
If it didnt mean wishing away my holiday, I'd be gagging for the release date to come around!
it does indeed look immense.
I bet the typesetters were hating Arnie by the end of it. All the names fit perfectly on the posters except his ;D
I think I'm the only one (despite loving their 80s/90s stuff) that thinks this is going to turn out to be absolutely dire....... especially after seeing the 'trailer' in the cinema yesterday!
Happy to be proved wrong though :)
It's going to be catastrophically dire! Can't wait!

Going to try and see Scott Pilgrim vs The World this weekend, might do Expendables next weekend instead.

I can not believe that Arnie signed up for this (or any other movie tbh).
Saw the trailer yesterday, it looks pretty tragic, but I still want to see it! :D

He's probably let his body go, the guy's old and well in his job I hear.
Edit, why the hell do I keep writing words twice in a sentence.
Going to see the midnight premiere of this tonight :D
I hope you enjoyed it! :D

His job is up this year. Elections are in November I believe and he can't run for the post again. So I guess we'll be seeing him in another film or two within a year:)

Oh I didn't realise the position of governer was bound by the same electoral terms as the presidential post with respect to the number of terms they're allowed to serve.
Yes, governors are limited to two terms. Congress and senators are not (much to the dismay to a large portion of the population).

Hence people like Inoye for Hawaii and Ted Kennedy end up effectively as "Senators for Life"
