I've got two WD external hard drives, and recently one of them developed a faulty power brick. The drive is over 2 years old so well out of warranty, and they don't sell the spare bricks on their website any more, only for the newer external drives. I sent them an email asking if they still had any spare bricks and whether I could get one from somewhere, and I got a reply today saying that if I sent them my address, they would send me a replacement drive for free. Top service from WD there, I know other companies have done the same before for people (Logitech are known to be good for it) but it's always nice when it happens to you. It certainly gives me more confidence in buying more WD equipment in the future if their support is that good :)
