Isn't it lovely to have an almost happy ending on a news story for a change.

These blokes should be out within a few days after 62 days underground. You have to commend the perseverence of the people trying to rescue them, and also the men who are down there, and haven't given up hope.

I really hope something doesn't go wrong now, but its really cheering me up, seeing it work towards its conclusion and getting those men out of there.

Talk about my worst nightmare  I'll be honest, I can't even read any of the articles about this because I get cold sweats and feel sick :o

It really is good they're hopefully gonna be out sooner than expected - I'd heard christmas originally

I soooo want to stay up and watch this, but dont think I will be able to make it, and then work an 11 hour day tomorrow. :(

Am keeping my fingers crossed that this all goes ok at this dangerous stage.

Sorry to post again, but only on sky news would you have a counter which will go up as each miner gets freed ;D

Saw it on the telly just before our pre-shift safety meeting. Excellent stuff :) Let's hope the whole operation goes well.

God im crying and I dont even know them. It was the shot of the child jumping on his Dad, and now the wife of the 4th miner waiting for him to get out of the capsule.

It's wonderful news - what I loved from the reports I heard was that the "old hands" who are used to this were happy to wait till last and told the paramedics not to rush as they had a game of chess they wanted to finish!!! ;D

Such a brave bunch, but you do have to be a of a certain disposition to be able to work down a mine for days and days on end.

Great to see this unfold! Unfortunately I missed them get a guy out this morning because I was in too much of a rush to get out.

Very happy news, was listening to the updates on the radio on the way to work, but I am amazed at the amount of people taking the piss out of this operation.

Eighth miner out, 25 to go. Seeing him hug family was certainly emotional.

Well it's almost over.:)

After 69 days of doing nothing, a group of men in hard hats and high visibility jackets are getting ready to go home.

The council have finally filled in the pothole at the end of my road
