I just got back from a work night out and am now going to bed cos I have two early starts this weekend due to the Japanese Grand Prix.
Went to the cinema to see Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and now watching TV.
Nothing hugely exciting but I'm enjoying it as it's been agesssssss since I had a Friday night in as I'm usually at work, or last week I was on a coach coming back from London. 4 day weekend for my birthday :D
Yay! :D how was Wall St?
I don't think the film would excite me...

Being the nutter I am, I just prefer watching it live. Will go back to sleep for a bit after methinks.
You are a nutter! Glad it was good Jen - not all "BUY BUY BUY/SELL SELL SELL!!!" then?

Watched the crazies = ok, then the boat that rocked which is an amazing film. Also got chips and BBQ ribs in. Good night in ready for a wedding this afternoon does mean I'll miss all the live f1 :( although I might get to see qualifying live if it is indeed 2am ish.
Went straight from work to visit relatives and check they were ok, walked their dogs. Got to Sainsbo's at 10.30ish, did shop, got home midnight, knackered. Matt has conference today so I stayed up & watched telly til around 2am then got up this morning about 8...exciting life!
Wedding reception tonight, climbing tomorrow :D
Packing everything I own into boxes. :D

Tonight I'm sat on my own in the flat, Chris should have been back ages ago but because of stupid gig organisers he's still stuck at work. Something about support band having too much gear. Meh I don't know.
Have a dvd on for company and thinking about making beans on toast for my dinner. I've got a stupidly busy week starting on Monday, going to enjoy my last day of freedom tomorrow.

Parents are going out, so I am glad to have the house to myself for once, other than the Birthday boy dog who has been promised chicken for tea :D
Tonight, I may head out in Truro to forget that tomorrow I shall be back in Exeter all alone, and underprepared for another week of work.
Hurrah!
Spent a long day at the NEC Wedding Show, Ive just polished off a curry, I am about to crack open a Magners, and settle down with the cats and TV Burp :D
T'other half has buggered off up north with a bunch of random internet folk.

Feeling a little under the weather so I suspect some more hardcore CSI'ing and possible a little of this (http://www.boat-drinks.co.uk/showthread.php?t=14196)
Eating local produce market quiche and potato salad followed by chocolate while watching a film of some description.
Quiet evening but I've been out most of the day and I'm knackered :D
Back at work, something happened before work which has put a smile on my face. ;)
And one of my favourite DCs brought me in a massive slice of awesome homemade chocolate cake which has now disappeared. Om nom nom nom.
Coming down with a cold. Just what I needed right now. Not! Off to bed then. :(

Had a lazy afternoon actually.
Baked some bread, currently watching some episodes of The Goodies and finishing the pizza off. Have ginger cake fresh out of the oven, cooling and will have some of that in a while with some custard.

Nothing :(
I live in Southend and at the moment I'm working in St Albans 9.30-5.30 so with the driving as well I'm shagged out all the time. Will be worth it in the end though, it's only a month or two.
So currently I am smoking my shisha and listening to music. I can stay up later tonight because I don't start til 11 tomorrow, woo!

I was working at a badly failing Apple Premium Reseller owned and run by an idiot. We finally went into administration and the doors were shut. We knew another, larger APR was interested.
Four days later we get a call saying we've been taken on by the aforementioned other APR. They bought the (very little) stock and had agreed a new lease on the unit.
About a week after that we get told they've lost the lease. Big panic. They kept us in work, in London, as a favour really. They have a new unit on the go also in London, tip top secret, we were pretty much told we'd be able to work there. I had an idea I would be able to be assistant manager, and it'll be a great store when it opens (excellent location money wise) but I didn't really want to work a) in London and b) specifically in the location - it'll make huge money but the proper Apple customers won't be in there, it'll be rich lah-de-dah types. Good commission, bad atmosphere, I suspect. We'll see though. I would have done it though.
I phoned the APR that I *thought* would be the ones who nabbed the lease, it wasn't them, but I enquired about a training position, he seemed interested though. I was going to follow that up. Didn't really want to work for that firm though ideally.
The company found out who stole the lease (another APR, we knew it was) and gave me their details, I rang them, got on great on the phone with the MD and the head of retail, he offered me a position starting ASAP, in St Albans at first to get me settled within the company, then in the Chelmsford store once it's been refitted. The way they stole the lease was by taking a five year lease instead of one year which the first company wanted.
First company just wanted to rebrand and stock up the shop and open ASAP, this other firm (who I now work for) are refitting it totally to be bang up to date, with a proper launch campaign and launch day.
Working in St Albans for 6-8 weeks is and will continue to be a big pain in the arse but I'm going in as Assistant Manager at the very least, and from what I'm told, as long as I don't balls it up I'll be the Store Manager (previous store manager has stayed with the first company). Working at St Albans first gives me a big head start in getting to know the company and will make me top boy at Chelmsford when it opens.
Just hoping the Manager position comes through - it looks like it will though :)
In the last week as well, the MD of the first APR who 'bought' us got back to me after being in the US and I explained, wished each other luck and so on. He said the door's open if it doesn't work out which is great. The company were good to us and tried their best, it just didn't work out.
Then the day after the APR who I applied with for a training position phoned me to get me in and I had to let them down :D I felt very wanted that week, why couldn't it have been like that in the YEAR I was struggling to keep my head above water? Three of the biggest APRs in the country, two offering me jobs and one sounding like they were just about to! APRs... LIKE BUSES
So yeah there's that!
And I'm still around, on the other place I changed my name to PardonTheWait and it's dawned on me recently especially that a lot of people that I know on there don't actually know it's me.
As for here, I know, I'm terrible, I lurk reasonably often but don't get around to posting as much as I should. I'm a terrible person :(
And 'ello BB :)
I didn't do anything :p
Congrats to your Brother Mei (sorry forgotten his name :/ ) sounds like you've had a lovely day :)

Yup, went to bed at half 10, woke up at half 2, back to sleep just after 3am, awake again at 6.40, had an hours snooze from about 9.15 and then woke up at 10.15. Me tired, but it's only a few times a year it's on at silly o clock. :)
Now that's dedication! :)
I've had a lovely morning playing the new game I got for my birthday. Now off to my Aunt and Uncle's for the afternoon for a birthday tea :D
Soooo nice to have a weekend without any retail work or even writing work. Can't remember the last time I had a proper weekend off :D
