A wet one. Other than that, no idea. Nice pics though :)
It has since been determined that it is most likely a Bengal Eagle Owl
Did you let the critter go in the end? Was it ok?
now thats an alternative animal to have in the house!

It's at the Hawk Conservancy in Andover for now, whilst we try and locate it's owner. It has a ring, so it would appear to belong to somebody, it just depends if they lost it or decided they couldn't afford it and let it go, which happens more than you'd expect apparently.

That looks like a baby eagle owl to me. Is he saying "WHOOOOOOOOOO"? They do that when they're a bit narked.
