So who here likes Marmite? Personally I can't stand the stuff.

What other stuff do you love that other people hate?

I *think* I hate it but I'm being bullied into trying it, because I haven't for years and my tastes have changed somewhat. So, I shall vote at a later date, but suspect it will be for b).

Out of interest, do either of you 'blueeerrggghh' voters like peanut butter? Seems to be one of those things that is either/or to me - most people who like marmite dislike pb, might be a sweet/savoury thing?

I LOVE rose turkish delight, but my other 'arf hates it ;D Seems people do either love it or hate it.

Marmite is lush on toast.

I'd reccommend it for intimate occassions too, licking something that looks like that off of someone is EXCELLENT.

Nope, though I dislike peanut butter whereas I hate marmite.

I LOVE rose turkish delight, but my other 'arf hates it ;D Seems people do either love it or hate it.

All the more for us then! It's lovely stuff.

To defy the whole advertising thing - I don't mind marmite :p It's ok but I can take it or leave it really.

Don't get bullied into it. You won't start liking it. It's a lifetime thing; marmite isn't like olives and mouldy cheese :D

I love chunky peanut butter - I eat it by the spoonfull and get through a jar a week :o


I voted bleurgh - but whilst I don't like it at all, I'd eat it but not out of choice.

Now that's just all manner of wrong. I can't even being to comprehend the wrong that is that combination. :p

I quite like Marmite, it just adds that little je ne sais quoi to toast that turns if from "yeah, alright" to "that's what I'm talking about" although it tends to be once a week if that for eating toast. Haven't had peanut butter for years (Marmite goes on toast instead) but I didn't mind it.

Coriander (the green leaves not the seeds/ground coriander). It's just vile, it tastes like detergent/soap.... bleeurrgh. I can eat most things, even the very few things I don't like but coriander I really have to force down. Makes me gag, yuck!

Apparently though some people think that it's genetic (not liking the taste of coriander).

Seriously, try it.

I'm happy to take it on advisement that it's lovely, however it may be one of those things that actually trying isn't necessary. If I buy peanut butter any time soon I'll try it though, does it matter whether it's chunky or smooth?

Me + Roberta + Marmite in her kitchen = Win :)

Is that like jelly wrestling but a lot smellier and sticky and with more of a niche appeal?

Never tried marmite or peanut butter - the mere thought is enough to put me off though (I used to dislike sauces in general - strange but true).

I do like twiglets and peanuts.

Have tried coffee though - by accident. Even the smell can be enough to make me feel ill.
