Had a go on this yesterday and have to say I'm utterly impressed. It worked really well for us and even the kids that were around (with a bit of space management) got on just fine with it. It's hard telling drunken adults to play only two at a time when there's five of them all standing in front of a TV waving their arms around though ;D

We played Dance Central and Kinect Sports. Only had a quick go on DC as it's not my type of thing, but the sports was brilliant. Track and field was actually quite tiring with all the running needed.

I liked it so much, I'm off out to buy one :D

My youngest nephew is wanting to get Kinect with his Christmas money so it's good to hear another positive review for it.

My only hope is that they integrate it with more of the mainstream games rather than just chucking party games at it. I know they're integrating it in to Forza4, although no idea how and I doubt it will be for the main steering and driving. But imagine playing COD and actually lobbing grenades :D

I said the same thing to Davey a while back. I imagine they'll give us a rifle like you get with the guitar hero games. If you have to duck into cover and clear rooms you'll be knackered ;D

I'm really tempted but I've got a Wii that never gets used and I fear this would end up going the same way.

Also doesn't help that we live in a flat with floor made of cardboard so things like Wii fit just end up pissing off the people downstairs.

My concern about it is space, I've read a fair few reviews which say that you need quite a lot of space for it to work properly. Our house isn't that big and the telly is in the corner so I really just don't think we'd have the space for it to work as it's meant to.

You've been to ours Feel, we certainly don't have a huge space but it works just fine. Feel free to pop over one day and give it a whirl :D

Pic for Malc just to show how of a prat you can be ;D

if you can clear 5ft or so in front of the telly you can make it work. we had to shove the coffee table back, but other than that, no bother really.

Damn you Desmo, just picked one up from Argos :D

Any suggestions for games that will work well at a drunken NYE party?

Dance Central and Kinect Sports are the pick of the bunch.

I cant believe you only waved and lifted your legs in a demented fashion. Why isnt your avatar bending over and farting at the camera, or stroking an invisible shaft between your legs?

Sorry :D
Kinect Sports is brilliant and there are plenty of mini games too to keep people busy along with a "Party Mode". There's also some free DLC out already with more mini games.

Yep, boxing is in there. Not had too many goes at it but it's the usual punch high, punch low and block. You don't get to move around a great deal but it's quite tiring on the arms once you get going.

I've done plenty of masturbation with the characters in game ;D

I LOVE Kinect - I was worried about the space issue, but it hasnt proven to be the problem that I thought it was.
Only problem I have now is to delete some umm footage that appears to show the other halfs boobs making a break for freedom

Tell me.

I've injured myself playing a minigame in Kinectimals that involves a lot of throwing and crouching...

My right leg has been stiff and sore for 2 days now...

My nephew bought himself Kinect and I have to say it looks fantastic. I'll be refraining though, primarily as I need a new 360 first.

We played it over the weekend, suitably impressed by it, quite enjoyed Dance Central :) I was really impressed with the voice commands as well.

Sorry for the bump, just wondering if anyone has seen any decent deals for the kinect?
I was sort of hoping it would have came down in price a little by now, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. :o

Pre-owned units in both Game and Blockbuster are £79.99 now :)
Otherwise cheapest new seems to be £99.99 in Game although keep an eye out, not long ago they were selling them for £79.99 new for a day or two in a sale.
