Couldn't see anything in the search; does anybody on here do pilates?

They have started doing it at work and I went along for a taster to see if it was something I could do. Seems to be just what I'm looking for, with the core strength exercises and stretches really hitting the spot for my bad back.

All-girl group and me though, as usual :o

Tis hard when done right :)

I recently bought 'Pilates for Men' on DVD off Amazon. Only done it once but it's actually very difficult - especially trying to look at the TV at the same time. Will persevere though despite the slight stigma attached to blokes doing it. Even the DVD cover has a naked dude on the front of it. Might as well say 'Pilates for FAGS, man.' on it. ;D

A young lady recently demonstrated how flexible she was due to Pilates and I must say I was rather impressed as she pulled vertical splits :lubu:

Lol

I haven't done it or yoga, but I probably should as it will make me more supple for the pole dancing and being able to do splits etc.

I used to teach basic mat pilates for about 3 years. I still use pilates moves in a lot of my classes.
