Aitch has been doing baby led weaning with Amelie which is basically where babies learn about food through play, the theory is that it makes them less fussy and more independent in the long run.

Amelie is an incredibly cute ickle baby :D

I like the idea of the baby-led-weaning too, though imagine as you hand her foods you are fully prepared to see them smooshed into her forehead/ears/nose or sail across the room! ;D

We're doing baby lead weaning too with my daughter Chloe, yes it's messy but pretty cool seeing her trying all new different types of food.

Does your little'un scream blue murder when you try and clean his or her face too?

My sisters kid was done the same way, at just about 2 she's really adventurous with food, way more than my other nieces.

she isn't overly keen on having her face cleaned after a meal and it will make her cry from time to time.

you need to make that into a game.. peekaboo works well with a wet flannel on the face... you first then baby :D
