I don't know WHY i do it to myself, why didn't i just find a laptop that avoided anything to do with nvidia. Do i not learn, did i give them too much benefit of the doubt? Who knows, but either way i'm stuck with a laptop that appears to be an insomniac. Upon sleeping it bluescreens, which is obviously frustrating. I think it's to do with the graphics drivers. But i can't be sure, the 1340 appears to be fairly plagued with problems all ends!

Anyways i've got a LOT of minidumps (most recent is obviously most helpful) i'm scared and don't know how to decipher them, so was hoping someone could tell me what windows is pointing at. I've tried updating everything as much as possible, and also rolling back old SATA drivers (as used in other fixed for this chipset). As well as a host of different graphics drivers from dell and other sources.

The laptop did originally sleep! So it SHOULD in theory work with the correct combination of crap installed ;D

Here are all my minidumps :)

Hoping Daz, Burble and/or others read this soon!

Cheers all

Sorry dude, haven't had a chance to look into this yet.

Grab yourself a copy of WinDbg tool and point that at one of the minidumps, that should give you something to go on.

All the crashes are being caused by ndis.sys, which from a quick Google could be related to your network card. See if you can go into the bios and disable it, then try recreating the problem. It could be that the NIC needs updated drivers for some reason, or is perhaps faulty.

I used to have a wireless card that would BSOD the machine every time it came out of sleep, could well be network related.

I've had network-related BSODs too. Quite common for sleep to find driver bugs.

Ooooh good call guys, something i'd not really though about, at least its something different for me to look at :) I'll have a play see if i can get to the bottom. I'll start with older drivers and work my way up until problems occur (assuming i fix it!).
