Well, skinny 19" wires with 475-19 tyres anyway. That's a 118mm wide tyre in new money. Pics to follow when I fit them :D

I've done a brief amount of stalking of you Jonny trying to find decent pics of the T (when not in bits), alas I am so far unsuccessful. Am I likely to get some decent ones here?

Just looks wrong without the whitewalls.

Hmmm... I don't know.... I think it's an unfair comparison as the "old" pic is so much more atmospheric, and the white wall is largely the focus, making the wheels look bold and striking in the gloom, and setting the scene for the picture, if you will. While the "new" pic is just a straightforward side on pic designed to do nothing much other than show the car with its new booties.
I think it still looks good without the whitewalls, but I think it does lose a little "feature". The black and red of the new tyres blend into the car a bit too much, if you see what I mean, although I think a more stylised photo, with the attention drawn to another aspect of the car, and you'd not notice the whitewalls were gone at all.
It's also with the roof down and the bonnet off :D
I prefer the whitewalls with the car as it is now. I'm going to be rebuilding it at some point and it'll be much shorter and a touch lower without the side exhausts. Then the 19's will suit it properly. The problem is the skinny 19's would be from a slightly earlier style hotrod that would have had a 4-banger and no flames.
Is it locked up with a bike chain?
It's not just due to the pictures, I think because the whole car is quite dark and 'less than pristine' looking I think the nice bright clean whitewalls add a nice contrast which really sets off the whole look.
Probably doesn't help that the tyres on your new wheels appear to have a somewhat agricultural tread pattern either.
Is it locked up with a bike chain?
Yup, a proper tonky one that cost me a fortune :D
