If you have a couple of hours to kill - this is quite an interesting insight to IOS5, icloud and other bits and pieces. :)

I love the look of iOS5, it looks pretty awesome, and I really can't wait to get it. The notification centre part alone will be a godsend, as I have far too many popping up each day and they get quite annoying at times.

I renewed my mobileme subscription 3 weeks ago!
That's gonna be about 8 months of it wasted.
However, I completely agree, means I don't have to pay for it anymore :D
Some great stuff in there... however, a lot is stuff that should have been there already!
Agreed 100% Lozza - but hey, it's what they do ;) But you know what? It's quite good how they don't try and do too much too soon.

I thought the WWDC Keynote yesterday was really good. Interesting things going on over in Cupertino. I agree it is stuff that should have been there from the start but Apple aren't ones to rush in, they take time to do things right.

2 minutes short enough? (http://www.cultofmac.com/steve-jobs-wwdc-keynote-in-just-two-minutes/99106)
Yes - thank you! :)
Certainly sounds like a good thing, though some of it has been rumoured for quite a while (e.g. iCloud).
it's looking very very nice!

Oh does anyone want to try out iOS 5?
4th time lucky for apple with the cloud? They've tried repeatedly before and had no end of problems in the past. Mobileme is reasonably well known for having e-mails vanish, for example. Same as anything though, backup, backup, backup :)

Is it reversible back to iOS4 if things don't work as well as I'd like?
Indeed not - you can't downgrade your baseband, so once you upgrade, you're screwed if it doesn't work out (and if you want to try out iCloud or wi-fi, then it won't because they're both broken to some degree).
Don't try it without getting your UDID registered either (I assume that's what's being offered above). If you skip this step, say hello to your expensive shiny brick.

If you do want to try, There's ways to downgrade and also unbrick now.
