and it begins !!!

Start off with Frozen Blueberries and Frozen Cherries, add sugar, low heat until soft and bash it a bit and until all the sugar has melted but NOT caramelised.

Add in Yogurt and double cream. I used about 5:1 ratio.

It takes about 5 minutes for it to get cold.

Start the motor and add it in! (notice it is still very runny)

15 minutes later, not anymore!

5 more minutes. Done!

Scoop into a container and put into the freezer and save some for later :D

Ice cream time!

Vanilla ice-cream with some Green & Black dark chocolated (smashed to pieces) and chucked in towards the end.

The first one looks delicious - have you edited those photos in any way or is the colour really that vivid? :D

(the second looks delicious too - just not as captivating!)

The colour is like that!

This is an edited phone photo (which btw, when put next to the real thing, it is LESS saturated in colour than the real thing).

Brilliant - did the 'save some for later' really work or did it taste as good as it looks? :D

I am actually enjoying the making part a LOT, been just making it and not eating much!

Made Mint Choc Chip today!

I made the mint base last night using the regular vanilla base and instead of vanilla, used mint leafs. Then let it sit to infuse the mint flavour for an hour before bashing it with a potato masher and then strained the leafs out then cooled overnight.

Randomly layer it.

Right now in the freezer I have a pint each of

Vanilla with dark chocolate ice-cream
Vanilla Mango ice-cream
Mint Choc Chip ice-cream
Blueberries & Cherry frozen Yogurt

How am I going to eat it all? That's enough to last a few months!

Looking good, I take it you got the Gaggia machine?

Are those recipes that came with/B&J's or ones you made up?

LOL, it'll be pretty easy actually :p The only thing stopping me is I am quickly running out of room in the freezer!

Yup, the Gaggia machine, and these are just my own made up recipes :p

I think all it needs is substitute whole milk with cocoanut milk, grater in cocoanut bits (lots of), and done! :p

That does all look lovely. Best Ice Cream I've had was in a science department meeting. We had some liquid nitrogen left over from science week, so we made some berry ice cream. Simply gorgeous!!!!
