Can't wait to see the Fat to Fit
Be warned Will, thats what will happen to you if you stop exercising and eat junk even for just 6 weeks let alone 6 months!
:'(
Looks at the remains of mama P's apple pie... :o
omg the photos have made me feel physically ill (looked at them bottom to top) and the food... gross food! Bleugh!!! :puke:

Is it just me or does his head look Photochopped onto the body in the 2nd pic?
Also the shadow doesn't look right. Maybe just me.
I'm sure there's some massaging of the truth and some enhancing.

I dunno there are plenty of video clips in there.... would be a hell of a lot of effort to mess with those... look at yesterdays weigh in.
See what you mean I didn't look at any of the vids was just going by the 2 photo's on the front page.
That's a lot of weight to put on over that amount of time.
Might be interesting to see how long it takes him to get it all off again.

It's good, but you can see how determined he is to lose it again, i'm sure it will take him no time really... It's not quite the same as people who have had a lifetime to put weight on. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but you can tell his mindset is completely different.
Great marketing ploy in my opinion. It'll take him no time at to drop back to his "normal" weight and then he can tell everyone how easy it is and sell them his methods.
Indeed - once you have the muscle mass and the discipline it'll be easy enough for him.
Sure he'll then use himself to sell "supps" too!
Still, if you're willing to be paid for it... I'd never do it, couldn't stand to be fat.
Is there not something inherently wrong about purposefully gaining weight in order to lose it? :/
Although the photos may show dramatic change, I'm not sure how applicable the programme would be to someone who is generally fatter and has been for a while... ?
The principles apply, however he will do it in 1/2 the time if that owing to previous training, diet and as well as his previous conditioning. So it's a bit of a disingenuous representation.
Furthermore, I don't particularly think it's healthy doing all this bulking/cutting it does stress the body somewhat.

Made me feel quite hungry :o
Will be interested to see the fat -> fit bit especially as I'm currently carrying a 'few extra pounds' ;D
I don't know if there will be charge for the fit2fat phase , but reading about it and the blog etc.. it doesn't look like it.
Yes there is recommendation for supplements, but there's no forceful you must take these or it wont work.. he openly says he will be taking them and it will speed up the weight loss etc.. but you don't have to take them.
I think his goal sets out a valid reason:
My goal is to inspire people to get fit, teach them how to do it and give them hope that it IS possible to get fit and stay fit. I want to share my comprehensive fitness knowledge with my followers so that they can know how to lose weight successfully, even though for many it’s going to be a struggle. People that are overweight have to overcome both physical and emotional barriers when it comes to losing weight. I hope to have a better understanding of this through my experience over the next year.
Also, I hope to better gain an understanding of how hard it really is to be overweight. I know it’s only going to be for 6 months, but at least it’ll give me a small window of the physical and emotional issues that come with being overweight.
And in that he acknowledges that those who are over weight have other physical and emotional issues to deal with... So I don't think he's selling the line, look at me you can do this as quickly as I can.
Certainly no different to "super size me"
And if it is all free access, then the meal planner and the exercises (45-60min five days a week) should all go a long way to help people. Not to mention that you can physically see he has been fat, not in long term way, but in terms of motivation for overweight people that physical cue is much better at motivation than having some slim/muscly well built person telling you "look at me now, I used to be fat, you can do this too" when all you can see is a slim/muscly well built person and your brain is telling you yeah right I'll never be able to look like that!
I can't wait for the fat2fit to start on Monday, and see what is involved and how he goes about it!
until then I'll keep my flame thrower in its holster!

He will gain immensely from this, and it will make him stand out as a personal trainer. Such a hard business to be in self employed. What he's doing is great for him further down the line. You couldn't pay money for the attention he's got, hence why the site stays free. He will then be the go to guy to lose weight ;)
At the end of the day this will be a walk in the park for him, he may stretch it out to 6 months, but i'm sure he could cut a lot quicker than that really!

Will be very interesting to see indeed !... he's kinda how I feel at the moment ;D
His fat cells though, as others have touched on, will be ' new ' so will be much easier to get rid of than stubborn fat cells which have been present for years and years
Hopefully though it will encourage people to give things a go... anything is possible with a lot of hard work and dedication :)
Lucrative if he gets a great deal out of it via selling his methods as a franchise or by opening branches all over the world.. not sure that "he will be the guy to go to too loose weight" will be much of a pull... unless your local to him or can afford to pay him to come to you. And if fat2fit is free then it will be hard to sell it when it's out there for free already. But a chain of gyms and nutritional centres yeah sure.
If I were going to buy, I'd rather buy something from this guy, book, dvd whatever on the back of this than Jordan/Natalie Cassidy/et al on the back of out of control "celeb" paying a personal trainer a fortune and releasing a fitness DVD etc to pay for it all!
In respect of him being able to do it quicker than 6 months I have no doubt as he was in very good conditioned before and it wouldn't take much to get back there.. but I see the point of this that it's done at a slower pace to help those who are obese loose the weight and keep it off and to do it in a manageable way. I've not seen the shopping list for Mondays start... but again will reserve judgement until I see that... but the exercise is 45-60minutes a days 5 days a week and can apparently be done from home, that's achievable and sustainable by most.
If you can stick to a strict low calorie diet and exercise for several hours a day then you could shift this weight and tone up in far less time, but being able to sustain that is a different matter. Again until I see fat2fit I can't comment, but from what I've read it seems to be set up so that it's manageable and achievable by your average joe... easing you in the first week with only diet changes, how radical they are we'll have to wait and see!
Of course... you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and he may well exercise 4 hours a day and cut down on calories more than he is publishing, he may go the other way to string it out for 6 months when there is no need.
There is no doubt in my mind that this isn't the first time he has done this fit2fat2fit... just this time he has a website set up, twitter, facebook etc and is spreading the word.... and of course long term gain for him... what that is time will tell.
There are very few in this world who would do something for nothing... there is always a short or long term gain from what ever it maybe. But if it helps some people out then all the better.
If it serves as motivation then of course it's a fantastic blog to share with people.
However he has a lot of lean muscle which will shift his metabolic zone and as such will be better adapted to burn fat. Furthermore, his insulin sensitivity will be higher than someone who has been at that size for a long time. That's a big key factor.
It will do his business a world of good and wish him all the success in the world - good on him for putting his body through it. However, it won't be hard for him to lose the fat, his lifestyle has already been at that level so he has conditioned his lifestyle and diet to suit.
I'm not trying to take anything away - as what he's doing is very real, and definitely a challenge, and hopefully people will use this to push them to achieving the goals they're after... I just hope they don't fall into the trap of thinking it's "easy".
The transition to fat is outrageous, I can't believe the change in as little as 6 weeks and then the weight just piles on him. If anything this is an eye-opener to me to how vulnerable some people must be to weight gain. I know he's purposefully cramming as many calories in as he can, but I just don't put weight on like that.
just one thing, it's 'lose' not 'loose'. Really sorry, but drives me f@cking crazy :/
