View Full Version : Christmas pudding recipe recommendations
I've lost my christmas pudding recipe :(
Anybody got a good one they can recommend? The one I had was quite light and very zesty and fresh and was a recipe published in the Metro about 2 years ago. Looking for something like that or possibly one made with stout.
Edit: found the recipe. It was well hidden: http://e-edition.metro.co.uk/2009/11/17/16.html

Don't like Christmas Pudding :(
I don't really know why. I am fine with Christmas Cake (often make one myself, although it does tend to last until about february before the last quarter or so is considered too dry to eat and is thrown away). However, I simply do not get on with Christmas Pudding.
My father does an excellent Christmas pud - I'll get the recipe from him. :)
Don't like Christmas Pud or cake.
My Christmas pud would be a spotted dick :p

Have requested it for the 22nd - though unfortunately for you there will be Christmas pud too :p However it is rather good, but my mother is rather disparaging of it (typical French snob).
Haven't forgotten this I will get the recipe as soon as daddy dearest returns from Cyprus!
*rubs hands* Why don't you make us some for the 20th?? :p
Cos the boss doesn't really like it - and I've never made it before! Not really a baker... I could "try" I guess? Rather make mince pies! :p

This is perfectly acceptable.
