I went from 3GB -> 7GB overnight :D
Great. I'm at 82% of my free 4gb so could do with some more ;D
Got myself up from 2Gb to 4.5Gb by just capturing a few simple videos on my phone which I promptly deleted (like videos with my phone pointing rather haphazardly out the buses window during my commute)

Mine seems to have maxed out at 7.5GB, not bad for 5 minutes work. Others have reported going from 3GB -> 14GB
Out of interest, what do people use Dropbox for mainly? I've never really found much use for it myself but now I have both an iPhone and iPad I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious.

Useful for transferring files between work and home, image hosting for forums and storing music for remote access. Also now a cross platform autophoto uploader thingy.
Hmm, will have to look into it a bit more, although I don't tend to transport files around that much and use iTunes Match for music access.

In that case use my referral please (http://db.tt/y7zrhfP9)
I've just gone up to 6.1GB :)
I saw this the other day but thanks for the reminder Del :)

I've already got an account, just don't really use it much.
I use it for anything that I might need in multiple places; timesheets & similar work docs, CVs/Job Apps, cycling routes, cooking recipes. Lots of things that I might need.
Just plugged my phone in today & got the option to sync with dropbox and now I've gone from 4, to 5Gb ;D

I use it for pretty much the same. Comes in very handy and is also good for syncing documents etc between devices. Means I can access my most used files from any of my devices as well as online from anywhere I want.
PS: Don't use DL's referral link people, use mine (http://db.tt/01QaCO8) :p
I've jumped to 6.6 now :D
I'm up to 9.6GB now :D
I keep recording short videos of the wall and then uploading them. I'll keep doing it until my space stops increasing ;D

I can't do anything about it just now. The Internet connection on the rig is so slow, it would take forever to upload any meaningful amount of data.
I'll just have to wait until I get home to utilise my XXL broadband. Should have it my space maxed out in no time :D
I got bumped up to 6.9gb today. Tempted to stick some big mountain biking panoramics on there to see if they'll boost me up some more!
Found my first downside of DB today though. I've been using it as a testing area for a little bit of Javascript. When I tried to get some screenshots for browser compatibility testing browsershots.org limits the number of requests from a single domain & it would seem everyone was trying to do the same!
Looks like I've hit my limit at 10.1GB :D
Odd, it's jumped up to 10.6 this morning despite not adding any more pics.
I uploaded just over 5Gb of pics and vids last night and my storage limit only went up by 1.5Gb :(
Suppose I can just delete them from folder and upload them again tonight :)
EDIT: OK ignore me just noticed the 2 big vids are still uploading.
You can delete items in the folder but you'll have to take new pics/vids to upload as it knows what has been previously uploaded and will not do it again :)

For some reason that link won't load for me, but am I right in thinking just upload a lot of video to my dropbox essentially? As simple as copying a big video into my folder and leaving it?
It's a new experimental build specially for uploading photos and videos from phones. You won't get extra space just by chucking videos in to dropbox.
This is a link to the new build... http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=54227&replies=231

Ahhhh, I see, ok but in a similar vein, if i copy a (big) video to my phone and just leave it uploading (over wifi) overnight, i'm in a similar position?
Also why can I not load that thread, weird, just loads blank white for me in chrome and opera!?

Here's all the latest builds. It's not just a case of copying files to your phone to upload, it's specific dropbox updated software that finds them and uploads :)

Didn't work when I tried it :(

Back up, got all my photos, music and films on there.
