Hi all,

http://www.tesco.com/direct/amazon-kindle/

Thinking of getting a Kindle as a leaving present so budget is £60 ish so can only afford the one without 3G.

What would the user be missing out in without having the 3G?

Thanks!

I don't think so BBx because the 3G is starting to be restricted now to only Amazon :)

buying new books outside of a wi-fi network is all you'd miss.

Not a big deal imo since if you know your nearing the end of a book you could just sort out a new one before leaving work/home.

Or you could just set your phone up as a mobile wi-fi hotspot :)

It'll be the best leaving present ever, with, or without 3G.

Love my kindle ;D

LOVVVVEee the kindle!! No 3G here... I don't know when I'm going to be desperate enough to need to buy a book when I've already got hundreds on my kindle as it is!! I can wait til I lay my hands on a usb stick or wifi :D

Mobiles nowadays have a wifi hotspot facility so you can just use their 3G anyway. That's what I do with my Samsung Tab :)

I can't imagine many people would find themselves in need of 3G just to download a book as I would think most "readers" would have plenty of books lined up.
