London trip Mk3

Time for another set of London photos. This was supposed to be another meet with other photographers but arriving late and a last minute starting venue change meant I missed the group.

All shot with a 7D with sigma 10-20. I did bring a couple of primes for market shooting but as I didn't find anyone I thought I'd try and shoot London with no people in. PP is due to using welding glass and the shots are not as sharp as I'd like as I only had a monopod with me.

Nice! When I saw the mk3 and the photos (before I read post) assumed it was the 5d mk3, look plenty sharp to me.

Assume you shot through the glass on a slower speed to try and blur the people out? Where do you get welding glass, a nd16 is on my list but amazon evilily put the price up from £47-£65 as I was going to order (77mm lenses :s) Even scotland was too bright on my last trip and I hate shooting >f13.

MK3 came from this being the 3rd London trip I've posted on here :) A 5d3 was going to be on the cards but all my spare cash goes on the car now.

Have a search on ebay for "Welding Lens Lense Glass Helmet Filter all shades or clear 41/4 x 31/4" or similar welding glass, gives you a rough 4"x3" sheet that's big enough to blutack to a 77" filter. Just a warning though it's an extremely sharp green tint, this is one of the raw files:

You pretty much lose all red/yellow from the photos.

I'd love to get a proper ND but for £1.20 they cost now these are fantastic.

The exif's should still be on the photos, most of the slow shutter shots are 15-20 seconds.
