Yay, Genesis to tour.

But without Peter Gabriel.

Although that last bit doesn't bother me too much, the Collins era was the time I was listening to Genesis.

I was just about to post this :D
I'll be going but I suspect Aitch would chew her own leg off of forced to go :(. So I'll be alone unless anyone wants to join me

Hope they're going to do some Scottish dates.
Stan :)
I may well come along too. My dad owns every Genesis album ever but I too only really got into the Phil Collins era stuff. 'Jesus, He Knows Me' is a brilliant song... in fact 'We Can't Walk' is just an awesome album. :)

I'm going to go. :D
Still would have prefered Gabriel to come back but can't complain really. :D

Although I love PG's solo work his Genesis stuff was was the least accessable of all their work so a reunion with ole baldy at the helm is probably for the best

No-one cares about Ray Wilson :D :D
You won't be alone :)
Nay, coz I'll be keeping you company too :)
Dates are announced.

Twickenham Stadium in London on 7 July and Old Trafford in Manchester on 8 July.
7th July at Twickenham works for me. Who else is gonna be there?
July should be OK for me, I'll do whatever I need to in order to be there.
*puts kids on eBay* :)
I'll be keeping my eyes open for when the tickets go on sale :D
 OMFG WHEN IS THIS??? I absolutely love Phil Collins and Genesis. DEFINITELY up for this big styleeeeeee
Edit: 7th would be best as it's a Saturday
Paul has suddenly gone Phil Collins mad due to the latest Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories game.
Each to their own, but I think Genesis with Peter Gabriel was much better than without.
There's a fantastic tribute band that faithfully recreates the live shows Genesis did with Peter Gabriel, called The Musical Box. Seeing them for a third time next march doing Selling England By the Pound :D
I'm sure it'll be great to see them still (though probably quite pricey), but for me it'd be like going to see Led Zep without Robert Plant or Pink Floyd without Gilmour. It'd be missing something important. Genesis after Gabriel and Hackett left was a totally different Genesis though, I've never really gotten into it.
Twickenham tickets appear to be sold out :(
Edit - No, there are some available but they come with a price premium. £120 for a £60 ticket anyone? Stuff that.
Dunno. I only knew they were on sale because I had a panicky phone call from one of the girls at work who while trying to buy tickets had locked her Windows account so the proxy server was prompting her for authentication details.
Seems that Manchester tickets are still available.
You could stand right next to Phil Collins and still not see him ;) I assume they'll have big video screens up anyway, they did when I saw U2 in Manchester.
It's several years since I've been to Old Trafford, and I've never been there for a concert.
Arsebadgers :(
Indeed :( One of the guys at work got tickets. Bastard. If he worked for me I'd give him the choice of selling me the tickets or getting his P45.
Looks like we didn't have much chance - Sold out in 90 minutes according to the beeb.

No great surprise, but still :(
