Right, kids are away for the week so my wife and I are off to our annual visit to the cinema. Don't often go to the cinema as it works out expensive what with child sitter costs on top.

Anyway, what's on that is worth a watch?

Little Miss Sunshine is supposedly good.

I saw Right At Your Door a few weeks back and thought it was good. Very depressing though!

I don't do depressing films! They depress me :(

I've seen "lick my Sunshine", is that the same film?

Hoodwinked was good but I expected it to be a lot funnier than it was :( Mainly a few "LOL" momments with the odd giggle thrown in.

There are a few movies I've seen advertised recently that I think look good but are most likely chick flicks ;D

I saw 'The History Boys' last week. Thought it was a cracking film (and being based on an Alan Bennett play it should be!) but not sure if it's your cup of tea..

It's set in Sheffield and is about a group of students who, having passed their A-Levels with high enough marks to get interviews for Oxford/Cambridge, return to school for another term to study for the entry exam/interview.

Very cleverly done (I thought the end was great, my sister thought that it was OK) and has the original stage cast so the banter and relationships between the students and teachers are very well portrayed.
