Some tracks can inexplicably lift me up and take me places. It could be tied to an event or a period of time in my life etc but its not about the memories - I cant help feel happy when I listen to them. Its not the same as the other thread, this is just for uplifting tracks.

Mine is a really terrible track:

Chicane feat Bryan Adams - Dont Give Up.

There are others but that is the only one I can think of right at this very moment. Anyone else have similar things?

Smooth by Santana feat. Rob Thomas - I have to move to this song and when I dance I'm happy :D

Gotta be Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. Very empowering.

I want to Break Free, Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop me Now by Queen.
And erm The One and Only - Chesney Hawkes :p Yes I know it's crap but imo it's good crap ;D
Fair amount of dance music cheers me up too, guessing it's just the beat rather than any memories.

Surely that one goes without saying though! :D

Most Queen songs rock

Maybe... it's definitely the only song can think of that makes me want to hang my coat off my head by the hood an run around with my arms out. ;D

For some reason - Sandstorm by Darude manages to lift my spirits no matter what mood I'm in. I can be down at the start but by the time the track's finished, my foot is tapping and my head is bobbing.

Paul Van Dyke - Time of your life ... awesome track :)

Once when I was out clubbing, this came on and I just stood there with a massive grin on my face and started crying :embarassed:

3rd Eye Blind - Semi Charmed life always gets me smiling.

I have to agree with Belmit on Don't Stop Me Now too...

Actually there are so many songs that get going. They vary from cheesy pop, to harder rock to reggae. Music's such a powerful medium :)

Mine would have to be The Bartender and the Thief by Stereophonics, always seems to cheer me up.

For pure grin/shock factor it has to be either F*** like a Beast by W.A.S.P or F*** her Gently by Tenacious D (just come on Kerrang :)), both classics.

Smooth by Santana feat. Rob Thomas

When I get up on karaoke I usually end up singing that or American Pie.

Actually that's one I always end up forgetting about! Although I think it mainly cheers me up because it reminds me of times with friends :)

Interesting choice. While a cool track I myself wouldn't class it as uplifting. What does it for you?

Actually since some lovely fella sent me it a while ago, The Joker by Fatboy Slim gets me bouncing too :D

There are just so so many of them!

I'm not sure, it's an extremely energetic track but it doesn't kick in until a few minutes into it, as it moves through and suddenly changes at 2:18 it always, always livens me up and gets me going, no matter what I'm doing.

Word of warning; never listen to this on full volume whilst driving. You will drive like a maniac.

Levellers - Just the one
Stone Roses - Sally Cinnamon, 10 story love song
They might be giants - Birdhouse in your soul
Barber - Adagio for strings
Freestylers - Push up
Sweet Thaing - Friday Night Posse

Yeah its an ace driving track. Haven't listened to it in ages.

Coldplay - Fix you (I played it going into hospital and it has so much emotion to it)

Kaiser Cheifs - I predict a riot (Never liked them till the Liverpool meet. Now whenever I play it it reminds me of the Krazyhouse and SUCH a good time)

The Killers - Somebody told me (Great opening, brilliant chorus)

Beat Crusaders - Tonight, Tonight, Tonight (Its JPop, its bad engrish but its just so much fun - Watch the video (http://www.vimeo.com/clip:100427))

Fatboy Slim - Weapon Of Choice (Its just so damn fun, and after seeing the video the music just makes you wanna dance like Walken)

ELO - Mr. Blue Sky (Another top tapping track with great lyrics)

Sigur Rós - Hoppipolla (Just awesome)

Snow Patrol - Open Your Eyes, Chasing Cars, You're All I Have, pretty much anything by them

Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes (A song I play to remind myself to make the best of the time I have)

Feeder - Buck Rogers, Just a Day (Sooooo much energy!)

The Lightning Seeds - Marvellous (Another song I play to remind myself to make the best of things. Its just so fun, it has so much life to it. It reminds me that while I will worry about things, as long as I try then things could be marvellous cos these are the days and this is the life.)

"Oh, and these are the days
And this is the life
There'll always be something on your mind
You'll never quite find
Won't you ever make your mind up
Oh well you had to hit
'Til you hit the top
Open up the window and jump into the blue
Things could be marvellous
Things could be fabulous too"

Probably at least another 20 tracks I could put here.

Some odd ones for you

Bliss- not quite paradise
electrasy - cosmic castaway
the urge - its my turn to fly

They are a tad odd, but played together they really bring me up after a horrible day, especially today.

I'll leave you wondering why this one, but for me the reason isn't the obvious one :) The bloodhound gang - i'm the least you could do

I did wonder if anyone would notice :) The soundtrack is damn good on that film, one of the better collections for me in a long time
