I really can't wait for this to come out now, it's shaping up to be something pretty special. I never caught the gamecube fever but i'm wiiing myself :p I want to play mario galaxy and the new zelda. Also its the cheapest next gen console coming out, but I still can't really afford it :(

Donations to the Alex want a wii fund this way ;D

//Edit: I can't edit my title and i'm a retard, excellent :D

I'm not a fan of consoles that try to be PC's like the playstation and the xbox but i think nintendo have managed to separate the market again hopefully :)

I think it will be pretty cool but I can't see myself getting one, at least not also without getting a huge TV which isn't going to happen any time soon. The name is an insane kind of genius also because everyone wants to see how outlandish they can make the puns based around it so everyone is talking about it, PS3 or Xbox 360 hardly conjures up the same interest.

I have pre-ordered a Wii for the release date.

Now thats and odd sentence...

I've pre-ordered from two separate companies. If I happen to get two on release day then so be it!

Ah-ha thats great, I don't really want to buy one, BUT I wouldn't want you being shafted and recieving two. This is genius, if you recieve two, I will most likely buy the second off you if thats OK, second hand rates of course :p ;D. No but seriosuly, i know i shouldn't but this is the perfect excuse, i can't justify pre-ordering, i know i wont get one in the shops, but i'll want one as soon as everyone else gets one :(. How about that dude?

Poo now i want a DS-lite to pass the time, i told myself i wouldn't bother we a DS, but Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Maybe even nintendogs and others are calling me. I keep seeing a uni friend playing on his and it's just taunting me.

If i'm honest I haven't read up on the Wii all too much because i want to keep all the cool stuff a suprise for myself, but does it in anyway use the DS/DS-Lite cleverly? Ie. can i justify buying one? :D

I keep thinking of getting a DS Lite just for Nintendogs (can't have a dog here, and AIBO isn't exactly portable, so next best thing I guess - yes, I am that sad. :))

I was going to get one but in the end bought the 360 which will do me fine for a fair while.
I'll get a wii eventually though :) Same with the PS3 and most consoles :D

The jokes don't end... Arg i've got both consoles into my head now :( I need to spend some money on my bike, well need is wrong, but without it i can really ride XC. But that money *could* go towards a Wii and DS-Lite....

I'll most likely get one, but having recently bought a 360 I won't get a Wii for a while.

I'm pretty sure someone would take it off my hands if by some freak occurrence I did get two!

Likewise. The gameplay greatly appeals to me.

Vix likes her nintendos and although the wii isn't getting her all exited just yet I'm sure she'll want one once they're out and she sees some funky game advertised on TV.

In fact this is her first birthday since we've been together that I haven't bought her a Nintendo. She got a DS last year and a GC the year before that.

Only reason Id want it is for the new Zelda game, but Ive ordered it for the Gamecube, so no, I wont be getting one :)

Unless Santa brings me one, then I wont complain ;)

Is there 1 single version of Zelda that knows which console you're on? Saying that, the first time I play it I would prefer the fun of a Wii... We've got 5 years of this eh :D

But you won't have all your motion sensing madness if your not playing it on the Wii :(

No Wii here. Unless I can persuade Janet to get another TV in the lounge.

I bought us both a DS last month. Conversation has now dried up between us :) (She's gone mad for Wario Touched)

Got animal crossing yet? That should see off any physical communication ever again :)

I shall ask Santa.

We've not done any wireless gaming yet but have spent hours drawing boobs and willies at each other in Pictochat.

KISS MY FACE!

Dear Customer,

Your order: XXXXXXXXXXX

As we are sure you're aware the Nintendo Wii is launched on December 8th and will be the must-have games machine this Christmas.

Congratulations! The good news is that you were one of the first customers to have ordered a Wii from GAME.co.uk and we are happy to inform you that we are expecting to receive enough units of Wii from Nintendo, to fulfil your hardware order for launch!

If anyone's still planning on getting one, Amazon.co.uk are starting preorders tomorrow morning at 9am. When all of their pre-orders have been fulfilled they will not allow any more until they are guaranteed new stock, so if you get through to a confirmation you'll definitely get one for release.

I was planning on getting one after Xmas, but I'm going to a fair at the NEC on Sunday, so depending on how much I end up spending there and come back with, I might get one a bit earlier.

Haha, only just spotted this in the email I got:

It looks like you will be one of the first people in the world to have a Wii – we hope you enjoy it!

Wow.

Dear Mr Beaumont

Thank you for the following order placed with GAME.

Order number(s):
XXXXXXXX

We are delighted to inform you that we have been able to reduce the selling price of White Wii Console with Red Steel to 219.98 GBP

Your credit / debit card will be charged with the new, lower price upon despatch of your order, even if the price goes up again before launch!

Nice, so even if it goes back up to... £219.99, I won't have to pay the extra! Drinks are on me.

Cor, a whole 1p saving. Please do the sensible thing and invest it. I understand the excitement of receiving such a major windfall but I urge you to not spend it all at once.

Beansprout

They are, quite literally, taking the 'p' with that price drop!
