View Full Version : So we know Peter Jackson is now unlikely to direct 'The Hobbit'
And if you didn't, then catch up man (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6167972.stm)!
The level headed fellows at Uncyclopedia are reporting a rather amusing (NSFW: Language) twist to this story (http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/UnNews:Adam_Sandler_to_direct_The_Hobbit), which I thought you might appreciate :D

Gandalf will be played by Keanu Reeves.
:D
Bloody hell peter Jackson lost some weight! They're making a big mistake in my eyes, he 'made' those films.
If made = ruined, yeah :p
Oof, harsh words. Forget the original book, and they're fantastic films.
Even with the book they're fantastic films but no big fan of the books were ever going to be 100% happy with them if they didn't get to direct the films themselves.
In fact, I'll direct the hobbit :p

I disagree, I read the books several times when I was younger (damn that makes me sound older than I actually am) and I thought that the translation to film by Jackson was bloody good... Not 100% right but pretty damn close, and he managed to engage the interest of a lot of people who wouldn't have a clue about it...
I'd be happy for Jackson to direct the Hobbit, he knows what he's doing :)
