Just watched Flushed Away sitting in front of the TV with the family, I wasn't expecting much but it's very very funny. Lots of good gags and visuals and just overall good entertainment.

I never knew slugs could sing, but my word they're good, and they high-five (or at least try to) :D

Watch it. You'll enjoy it.

Aye, the rats are the baddies :p

As are the frogs, which are all naturally French and do indeed surrender at one point :D

Aye, the rats are the baddies :p

The main character is a rattie so they can't all be bad :p

Wrong! Rodders is a mouse, not a rat.

He doesn't, he looks like a mouse. The rats look like rats ;)

I nearly wet myself at the Japanese flag joke. The kids didn't get it. Phew

There are so many funny bits that keep coming back to me, the ratmobile, the red button, it's just LOL all the way through.

I want to see this and Happy Feet, thanks for the recommendation :D

I wouldn't bother with Happy Feet, I thought it was rubbish. It's all very well to have happy dancing penguins but when the film switches to a 'save the penguins' mode it all goes a bit odd. Sure, be all hippy and do the saving but but don't do it because the penguins can tap dance, which is what Happy Feet does.

Great animation, crap story.

Another one to add to the list :)

The quality of "kids" animations is defintiely getting better. Watched over the hedge the other day - fantastic, and the little extra with hammy had us laughing so much we were in pain ;D

I went to see that last week and although it was still good, it wasn't as good as I expected.

A few "aawww"s and giggles admittedly and I tapped my little feet all the way out of the cinema (much to my sisters horror! ;D ). However, I knew it had music but not that much music - don't think it stopped! Was a bit OTT but if you're prepared you should enjoy it :)

I took YMF to see that at the cinema and thought it was absolute crap. Horses for courses eh?

Guess so. Beginning was a tad slow but when it got going we all loved it.

Did you roffffle at the ratmobile line? And groan slightly at the red button? ;)

Yeah both very good, Ardmann and Dreamworks seem to be a great combination they both have the right attitude to children's movies, make the parents want to go too and bury a lot of jokes for them :)

Josh watched most of this on the laptop the other day, he managed 45 mins before he got bored and wanted to do something else. I have phoned Norris McWhirter as this is a World Record attention span for my boy.

I watched a bit over his shoulder and had a good roffle at some of the in jokes.

Watched the remainder of this last night. Really good film, with little jokes for the adults thrown in. Those slugs kept making me laugh though... the way they randomly appear and start singing :D Put me in a very good mood as well, one of the better films I have seen recently. Also the frogs as well.
