What Shuttle for a Woodcrest Xeon?

I know little about Intels chipsets, probably because they seem to change them like I do underwear (couple of months... maybe ;)). I dont suppose anyone could tell me what chipset I need to be looking out for to house a Woodcrest, or better still, which Shuttle's or other barebones would take one?

Actually I'm being a numpty arent I? The chipset wont be available in any consumer kit, historically not anyway, I'd be looking at some dual socket board which would set me back a fortune.

Yeah, I'm assuming Woodcrest isn't socket 775.

Must admit I was looking for regular Core 2 stuff before I realised, so I'll join the numpty club as well.

Just had a quick look and it appears that Woodcrest (any new Xeon?) is socket 771 and the motherboard prices range from merely expensive through pant-wettingly-so to "sweet merciful Jesus" level. For what it is worth on a quick scan the cheapest I can find is about $360 for a Tyan Tempest i5000 which if the Dollar rate stays the same would be about £180 so roughly comparable to some of the higher end Nforce 680 SLi motherboards but probably without the overclocking options and it only has 2xPCI-E 8x, 1xPCI-X and 2xPCI.

Basically something based on the Intel 5000V chipset seems to be on the money. :)

Dont want to go that uber though, so exploring other options. Could 'bay it and use the money to buy a Core2, I'd have a wider choice of boards/systems then.
