How about "Beast and the Harlot" on Medium? :p

You'll have to wait for a few days to get my score, Guitar in Lincoln, and i'm back in Langford....whoops.
I haven't played much lately but I still need to 5 star The Trooper on hard so I'll try and get the high score whilst I'm at it. ;)

Right, tonight's scores....
The Trooper
Medium: 171739
Hard: 126219
Beast And The Harlot
Medium: 181400
Hard: 158426
:)
Duly noted :) Extra time kept me off the Xbox last night so I'll get my score tonight :)
Davey_Pitch
02-05-2007, 09:06
I must admit, the two Beast scores are previous ones from my career, extra time limited me as well, plus was achievement whoring with Jen a bit on NBA Homecourt :)
The Trooper
Medium: 141694
Hard: Pitiful 96820
Former is mostly star power timing, latter because my hard skills are still weak - on 76% hit :/
Davey_Pitch
02-05-2007, 22:32
It is a hard song on that difficulty as well, my hard skills are improving but I still have a lot of work to do to be good at that song.
Just need Carry Me Home before Freebird, my fingers just dont want to obey the screen - just seems to busy for my skills :/
Davey_Pitch
02-05-2007, 22:52
That was the one that had me stuck for a little bit. If you can nail the star power sections at the start, kick it off the moment you fill your bar, as if you're like me you'll be way in the red already. Use it to get back into the green, and you should be able to make it through the song from there :)
Sounds like a good plan
This may be the first song I have to use practice mode for
Davey_Pitch
03-05-2007, 10:26
I tried using it for Psychobilly Freakout, but to be honest it didn't actually help much, as my fingers already knew what they were meant to do, they just weren't doing it fast enough. After I got past the intro with Star Power stored it was easy(-ish) from there.
It's where I keep failing, no doubt (dont think I've cleared 10% yet). Star power is our saviour, but it tricky to get.
In other news, I need ~6k to get the last 3 costumes with my current band - but only from 2 more songs, improving on 3* scores or attempting expert's lower tiers - else I'm left starting another band to go through medium again :/
Davey_Pitch
03-05-2007, 10:59
If you can finish the two left, you'll get about 1300 as a bonus for completing that tier, so that'll make it much easier. By the time you've done Freebird I'm sure you'll be good enough to go back and improve on your earlier songs, I know I've found several of them much easier than before.
I went to try and 5* the original 4*'s I did and I cant believe how hard it is. I can 4* Surrender easily, but 180k+ still doesn't net me 5* :/
Need to find out what that is really.
[edit]Apparently it's only 124,270, wtf?!
Davey_Pitch
03-05-2007, 12:43
The scores on the X360a site are only for Medium I think, they're not right for Hard.
I'll check what my score is when I get home on that, I 5*'d that one so the cut off will be around my score I think.

Says 170k for Surrender =/
Is it solely based on score? Last night I got the feeling it wasn't simply because I couldn't see where else I could bleed some score from!

I always thought it was based solely on score, I've never been told anything different that may suggest otherwise.

Ah, I think I see the problem. According to the leaderboards your highest score is 166k, so 4k short of 5 star.
Maybe it's right and I'm going mad! I'll have a look later :)
Well, I was indeed wrong, and I've 5*'d it.
In other news, hard complete  Freebird score was ****, I saved star power all the way to get me through solo I, I just cant do my pull off's that fast and it was a regular stumbling block.
£4600 to go for the last outfits
Davey_Pitch
03-05-2007, 22:14
For Solo I, sod the pull off's, play the blue note and slide through the other 2. At one point I hit a 3x note streak using that method, makes it so much easier :)
And congrats on completing Hard, feels good doesn't it? :D
Oh totally, only a couple of achievements behind you now ;) Though my Freebird skills are well below yours so I think you're safe for now :p
£2200ish to go for the outfits, running out of places to get it from :/ Only 3*'d Heart Shaped Box on Expert, and it must be the easiest song on the set list :/
Davey_Pitch
03-05-2007, 22:54
Nope, Surrender is the easiest I reckon, I 4*'d that on Expert first time, and messed up several times :)
I think I actually failed it ;D;D
If you can summon the skills to 5* and expert song, doesn't it net you 1k?
Davey_Pitch
03-05-2007, 23:49
Not sure on that, I'll have to see if I can 5* something and let you know :D
Davey_Pitch
04-05-2007, 00:21
Right, after a 97%, 5* performance on Heart Shaped Box, I can unfortunately confirm you get a paltry $600 for your performance. Maybe you get $1k if you nail it perfectly. Unfortunately while I've got all the chord sequences nailed in that song, the solo still causes me to make mistakes, so I won't be getting a perfect score on that any time soon.
Still, I've got 5*'s on an Expert song, didn't think I'd do that so quickly! :D
Davey_Pitch
04-05-2007, 00:28
I think it's a shame the higher difficulties don't increase the payments you get. You should be rewarded for great performances on hard and expert, not rewarded with the same amount of money. It would save expert players from having to create multiple bands to get everything. You can guarantee that by the time GH3 comes out I'm not going to even want to go near Medium, it'll be Hard at the least, and I should be rewarded with extra money for doing that.
Maybe they'll put that in GH3 :)
Went back to Medium today with a view to tackling Freebird and 1000 note/400k at some point.... MAN is it difficult going back down a level after playing at hard/expert (3rd tier of expert now). Been playing through the bonus tracks (only a couple left for that achievement) - found one that needs an orange note on medium  Scandal!
Oh, and all costumes bought, shop achievements complete :)
Davey_Pitch
04-05-2007, 19:34
You're on the 3rd tier of expert? Nice going, I did the first four songs till I got 5* on Heart Shaped Box then stopped playing. I might have to play later to catch you up :p
Oh god, not a race to the finish of expert? I dont think I can make it ;D
Davey_Pitch
04-05-2007, 22:00
Hell yeah, why not? If it pushes either of us to actually complete it then it'll be worth it :D
Ok, lets give it a shot :D
Might get some time tomorrow for a couple of songs, but will likely finish the unlock songs, so I'll start after the bank hol (we're at my brothers missus place) :)

I won't get much time tomorrow anyway as I'm out with Lynne to Rhyl, then out for a friends' 30th in the evening, but Sunday and Monday are looking fairly clear at the moment :)
You need to catch up anyway ;) It's on then, I hope one of us can do it;D
Scratch that, all unlock songs completed ;D
Not sure what to work on first - 1000 notes or expert career.
Davey_Pitch
05-05-2007, 01:28
First tier completed, hand feeling sore though so giving it a break now, as it was causing me to suck.
I'd recommend the 1000 notes achievements, as I don't think it's that hard on Freebird, it just takes concentration. Get your star power timing right and you'll make the 400k achievement as well.
I think the way the money works for completing a song at a rating is you get the money for that skill level, and the skill level before.
So if you 5 Star an expert song without playing it on any other difficulty, you'd get the money for getting 5 stars on medium and hard also. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's how it works.
Get your star power timing right and you'll make the 400k achievement as well.
Gonna be difficult to remember the timing, but I'll give it a shot!
~360k top score, dropping notes all over the shop though. You pretty much have to make it to the end dont you Davey?
Wonder if I'd be better trying to deal with higher speeds rather than long songs. I reckon it's gonna prove very difficult to maintain over such a long time.
Well I suck at this game ;D
Not stopping me having a bloody good go though, my hand hurts :p

~360k top score, dropping notes all over the shop though. You pretty much have to make it to the end dont you Davey?
When I did it I only missed one note and that was close to the end, but my two previous efforts were around 392k and I missed several notes in the middle (as well as mis-timed the star power) so I reckon it's still possible even if you miss some notes, as long as you nail all the star power bits and use it at the right time. I've seen someone score 432k on Freebird on medijum so it should be possible to miss some and not lose over 32k in score.
I've decided I'm more likely to do 1000 notes quickly than not, so Monkey Wrench on hard is my new candidate for that one - I'll come back to Freebird another time for 400k.
In other news, 4th tier of expert now - My fingers are starting to fall out with me I think ;D
Carry on Wayward Son took a few attempts, some well timed star power and some crafty fret sliding. War Pigs had a couple of iffy bits but was complete in 1 go and quite enjoyable.
Davey_Pitch
05-05-2007, 18:53
I'm up to tier 3 now, Woman beat me twice through stupid mistakes, 3rd time was a charm. Came off so Lynne could watch TV, but I may play some more tonight before the boxing comes on.
Woman really troubled me on hard, think it was the first one to have a 'proper' solo. First time this time around though.
Looking at other possibles for the 1000 note. I know I can do all the individual bits of Monkey Wrench, just a case of putting them together and maintaining it. Made about ~400 notes, and then two 300 odd streaks. It is mental though.
There is some middle ground. War pigs is longer, but slower paced, and has 1006 notes (well, according to score hero's PS2 listings). Some of the bonus tracks also have 1000+, so might be an option there.
Not too worried about 400k, if I'd memorised the best places for star power in Freebird then I'd probably have that now.
Davey_Pitch
05-05-2007, 19:56
I actually wrote down the places to activate star power on Freebird and had it by the TV, and by the third attempt I didn't need to use it as I could remember them. I have to say, concentrating on where to activate star power made it easier to hit the notes as I was just playing without worrying about whether I'd miss a simple note or not.
I'm glad we wont have to worry about streaks next time we get to play co-op, playing for the score is much more enjoyable.
The way you're feeling now I imagine with the single player achievements :p
Any idea where I can find track lengths guys?

Jessica is my only barrier to 6 now (well, assuming the encore isn't raping me, but it couldn't be as bad as this!). I'm going to have to train myself better earlier in the solo so I dont have to use my solo. My last 4 attempts have all failed in the same place (68/68%). Ghey :(
Davey_Pitch

I might have to try it tomorrow just to see how I'll do when I get there. If you're failing I imagine I'll have roughly the same luck on it.
Hit practice mode and seem to be getting better. Just need to find out if I can make it happen after getting through the first 2 thirds now.
Jessica down (\o/), the encore can wait until tomorrow. Considering you can score 500,000 on that song my 125k seems pretty **** :D

It's quite a satisfying song to play I must say. When you nail some of the more difficult bits you get a right buzz!

Rarrrrrr! Tier 4 completed with no problems at all (4 stars on Sweet Child Of Mine), straight onto Jessica as my first song of tier 5, completed it first go with 4 stars! I've gotta admit, I'm sooooo much better at the hammer ons and pull offs now. There are some songs where you can play 10+ notes after strumming the first note, makes is so much easier to do. Now I've just gotta do the rest of tier 5 tonight and make my way to tier 6 if possible :)
I can feel you coming up my rear Davey (innuendo overload! :D) - better get a shifty on!
It's weird how some things trouble yourself but not others. I remember you saying you were struggling on a song towards the end of the hard careern, and I finished it first time. Cant remember which one it was now.
Davey_Pitch
08-05-2007, 17:22
Psychobilly Freakout and Carry Me Home were the only two to trouble me in the Hard career. I reckon they both will again, but I'm feeling like I might actually me able to do it now, for the first time. I've always felt that I'd have huge trouble beating them (if I managed it at all), but now I feel that with practise I may be able to do it :)
400k is tighter than it looks isnt it? Dropped 20 notes, which isnt a lot in the grand scheme of things, but kept my multiplier down enough to dtop me getting it. Dropped star power too :/
Davey_Pitch
08-05-2007, 19:57
Dropping star power is the key, and probably where you drop notes is key. If you drop one just before you're meant to be deploy star power then it will seriously hinder your score, but I'd imagine if it were inbetween star power sections (with enough room to get back up to a 4x multi) then it might not matter so much.
Heh, you played Killing in the Name Of yet Davey? Wasn't sure how that's be a 500k song, though I am confused no more!
This sixth tier really is my favourite I think. Crazy on You, Killing in the Name of, Dead and the others - Great fun to play on any level.
Davey_Pitch
08-05-2007, 21:52
Not yet, not on Expert, though I hope to get that far tonight :)
Next hurdle is Freya. The middle third or so is uite challenging, needing to jump right across the fret board, then chord, and back again in quick sucession - for a good 30 seconds. Good song, but testing.
Davey_Pitch
08-05-2007, 23:12
I'm having to take a break now, as Crazy On You is driving me insane. I've tried it at least 15 times and only once managed to get past the ******* intro. If I don't stop now I think I'm going to break something, possibly the guitar.
Davey_Pitch
09-05-2007, 01:11
Done some of the others on that tier, had a couple more goes of Crazy, and failed, so had a go at Freya, and failed that too, around 34% so I think possibly the same place you have trouble Daz. I shouldn't be too surprised though, I go this fair through Expert with not many difficulties, and they should be challenging. Practise mode beckons tomorrow I reckon.
Oh, and out of interest I created a new band and went straight into Expert and 5*'d Heart Shaped Box, and got $1800 for it. I guess you get double or triple the money if you haven't completed the song on lower difficulties. At least when GH3 comes out the only reason we may have to go through the other difficulties is for the achievements, if we're good enough to get enough money through Expert :)

I got past the intro once and was cruising, had star power stored, and totally screwed up the fast series of notes before the chorus. If I'd got past it, or used the star power to do it, I've no doubts I'd have finished the song. I just need to get the intro sorted and I'll be fine.

Damn straight :D It'll be much more fun next time we get to play co-op, as we dont have to worry about maintaining a perfect streak so much - we'll just go with the flow and have a larf :D
Did you play Killing in the Name of?
Davey_Pitch
09-05-2007, 10:40
Yup, did Killing first time, was definitely fun to play. The harder songs are more fun to play than the earlier songs, especially when you nail the hard solos (Sweet Child of Mine is a blast to play through).
Co-op next time is going to be great as well. If you can get 400k on Freebird there is always a chance of getting the 800k achievement, though I think that may be beyond us at this point. Wait until we can ace Jessica and we'll nail the 1mil achievement :D
And after that miracle I think I'll go and punch out God.
/Sin City
:D
Killing in the name of was one shot for me too, and yeah, great song to play. Can really see that .5mil too :D
I reckon we can do 800k on medium Freebird, or if not, we pick a song on Hard to attack. Hard is quite palatable now, being pretty used to expert.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8qU92-il_M
You know, that's a doable 500k if you can strum that fast for the duration. Can you unlock the achievements in quick play guys, or only in career mode?
[edit]Oh, and also:

844k, co-op medium, and they make a few mistakes. All down to star power timing by the looks of it.

I'll check the video out when I get in. Is the second one Freebird?
Sorry, yes. Killing in the Name Of expert, solo at the top, Freebird medium co-op at the bottom. They actually unlock 600 and 800k on that vid. The rhythm part looks quit cool from what you can see.
Davey_Pitch
09-05-2007, 13:55
If the Freebird co-op uses the same star power guide as the single player then I already know that, it'll just rely on us not breaking the streak during the star power sections. :)
It is similar, but in the early slower section there are some bits where the rhythm section scores high so you trigger it differently. Looks about the same for when it all kicks off though :)
ARGH! I'm so close to perfecting Monkey Wrench on hard and getting 1000 note streak. It seems quite reasonably paced now after getting used to expert.
Difficult to not get frustrated. I only need to do it once then that's it, all streaks complete, but man it's testing my patience.
Davey_Pitch
09-05-2007, 23:02
I'm getting that frustrated feeling with Crazy On You on expert. I know, absolutely know that when I get past the intro I'll do the song, but for some reason I just can't manage it. I had about 6-7 goes before and had to put the guitar down before I belted something. I do have a gaming temper anyway as I'm such a perfectionist at times, even when I know something should be hard I get annoyed when I can't do it.
I'm determined to do it though, I'm too bloody stubborn to give up.
Heh, I was just saying the same to Dee. If she wasn't here, I'd likely just stay up for ages trying again and again until I nailed it. I'm a stubborn **** :D
Staying off the expert career for a bit though until I (hopefully) do it. There's no one bit of the song I cant do, it's just stringing it together for 1000 notes. Reached about 700, but soon after that it returns to the familiar riffs which are exactly the same as they are at the start. I know I can do this.
Davey_Pitch
09-05-2007, 23:29
Hahah, you're like me with Freebird. I could do every section, it was just combining them into one perfect run :)
If I can't do it after a few goes tonight I might go back down to Hard and try 5*'ing some songs there. I've got the game to have fun, and if I'm not enjoying myself by failing I might as well play some stuff I like and try to improve my scores at the same time :)
I kinda got to that point last night. I wasn't enjoying it, and that's kinda the point isn't it? Achievements showing their negative side perhaps.
Not sure if you saw this, but do you know if achievements can defo be unlocked in quick play?
Davey_Pitch
10-05-2007, 10:20
Aye, achievement hunting can be a real drag at times, even more so if you know it's something you can actually get, but silly mistakes here and there are holding you back.
As for quick play, I would be very very surprised if you can't unlock the achievements in quick play. I've done everything in career mode though (so any improvements reflect on my career score too) so I can't say for 100% certain.

It's from the PS2 version of GH2, where enterprising peeps have figured out how to put their own custom songs on (the method can be found on the scorehero.com forums). Already done for a laugh. It was Heart Shaped Box on easy, and when your brain remembers where everything is it's not too hard I don't think :)
Seconds stab of X-STream and I have a higher streak than I did on Monkey Wrench (~800). Promising.
Right, before the weekend is up, I will have 1000 note, 400k or both. Mark my words internetz!

Best of luck to you dude :)
****ING DONE EM BOTH :D
Both on X-Stream (which is a really fun song Davey, maybe one for co-op goodness).
400k came first, just (402), kept on trying for the 1000, took another few goes. My heart was pounding so much when I knew I was close, got over a hurdle I regularly fail at (thank you bit of luck!), and then my heart started to rumble. I knew I was getting nervous and was going to fail a verse bit which is easy, just took deep breaths and then it came :D:D:D I was so relieved by it that I just dropped to my knees (I play better standing) and promptly failed the song ;D;D
Dead proud of myself in a geeky gaming kind of way, but also embarassed in a real life kinda way ;D. Hardest achievement I've earned I think (hard and not just tiome consuming). Can go back to pottering around for fun a bit more, 5*'ing hard, knocking the completions off expert :)

Nicely done sir. It's an awesome feeling when you see the achievement unlocked window pop up and you know you've done it. Hopefully I'll see it one day for 500k :)

Killing In The Name - If you can strum through that last section properly then it's very doable. Everything before then is relative child's play. That'll be my first port of call when I have a stab. Will have a go at Jordan before then though.

Sorry dude. Maybe we'll be in the same position when GH3 comes out, I was a total noob at the start of this so had an excuse to go through easy ;D
Xbox.com says I've got 4 achievements you haven't, the 2 easy career ones, beat the unlock songs (which you've been chipping at - I read that has to be done in career mode btw) and watch the credits. Takes a good 30 minutes that, start it going when you need a good crap and go for a read :D
Creature - It's all doable dude. I never, ever thought I'd get 1000 notes when I first started out. It's a very well done game, with practise you really can get those uber achievements. It just depends how much you want to invest yourself in it :)
Nice one :D
The satisfaction this game seems to bring is definitely the main reason why I'm interested in getting it at some point.

Looking at it on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIrdjK4_UOI), the song is very similar to how it is on hard, certainly played at the same pace anyway which is a bonus. Everything seems up a button, using orange more, but the difficult thing is rapid changing between 3 button chords - something I suck at right now, though I was the same when first introduced to 2 button chords.
It's tight though, you basically have to perfect it. Reckon there's a better star power route than what he took though (I kinda made my own up). I'd be willing to have a go though, I know the song quite well now. Still think Killing In The Name is the winner though, there's more head room.

The problem on the song for me is that I hugely suck at 1st finger, 2nd finger, 4th finger chords. My 3rd finger continually wants to get involved and gets in the way. 1st, 3rd and 4th finger chords are fine though, my 2nd finger is happy to stay out of the way :D
If I can nail those chords though, I'm sure I could get very close to perfecting X-Stream.

Heheh, I know the painful fingers feeling. Heart Shaped Box gets me a bit because of all the chord jumping in the chorus.
The one I'm looking forward to the least is actually Freebird. Other songs if I fail them I know I'll do so inside a minute or two, but with FB on Expert I know I can last at least 5 minutes before I'll die. Those 5 minutes will get very very boring I think! Might need to practise the solo a lot so that if I ever get there I can do it first time.
Wondering if I should take a look at hyperspeed for Jordan or if it's pointless. I mean, when the solo kicks off, you're basically just blagging it through with star power right?
Davey_Pitch

I've completed all easy, on to medium now and need to work my way thorugh again. Must admit I'm struggling a bit to get used ot the extra button.
It took me a while to get used to the extra button, but I'd say that after I'd done 5 tracks I was ok with it.
Getting used to using the fifth button, that's really taking its time. I'm positive that I'd done 8 or 9 tracks on hard before my console died but when I fired it up on Sunday it said that I'd done none on hard and only 46/47 (or 47/48, I forget which) on medium.

It'll come dude, it's funny how the learning curve is the same for everyone :)
Found one of the easy songs I can do quite well and am using it to get my hands and eyes working together - Hit a 230 note streak with 88k points on it, only missing 10 notes.
My left hand aches!
One thing - I've noticed that some of the notes have stars around the borders, what's the difference, I can't find anything in the manual about it.
Those notes give you star power. When you've collected enough of them you'll get a message on screen saying 'Star power ready' (or similar). You can then tild the guitar so that the neck is vertical and you'll be using the star power - notes are worth double what they are normally so you can have upto an 8x multiplier.
When you've got a long note (so you're holding down the button) with a star around it wiggle the whammy bar and you'll get even more star power from it.
There's a useful bit about star power in the tutorials. While you're in there do the hammer on and pull off tutorials too, they're really useful.
i totally cant get the hang of the hammer on and pull offs.....
I find that if I try to do them then I fluff them up but I often find myself doing them without noticing.

i totally cant get the hang of the hammer on and pull offs.....
Practise playing Jessica, it's an excellent song for hammer ons and pull offs. There are times in the song you can hit 15 different notes in a row and only strum the first one. Great finger workout, and on different difficulties a good way to practise at different speeds too :)
Ahhhhh, I only did the first tutorial so I didn't get to hammering and pulling off (fnarr) - I see that completing all three is an achievement so I'll finish them off tonight.
I had a bash this evening and kept saying 'just one more song', knowing there wasn't many to go until I completed Easy! Jessica was an absolute pain, even on the easy setting, I haven't really got a clue about the two techniques I learned in the next two tutorials, but it'll come.
Chords and the extra button are giving me a hard time now as I'm tired after the three solid hours I've been playing so I'm off to bed having done just two tunes on Medium :)
(I hit my first 1000 gamerscore today, yay!)
Oh what fun :D
Quite addictive isn't Feekles :D

Well I have a spare 30 minutes before I go to work. I practice on the real guitar and fit in a couple of games of GHII as well :D
Oh how I'd love to have spare time in the morning...

Morning, spare time? What is this thing you speak of?
It's only come about since Sinead has been at her new job. She gets up earlier so I get up as well :p

What the hell is morning?
I've lost by GH powers!!!!1111
Getting some practice in before some visitors next weekend and GHIII creeping closer. I'm still completing songs on expert but my streaks are fudged. Might drop down to hard for a bit.

Heh, I've decided that my skills have hit their current limit and I've completely stopped trying to get any further in the Expert career. I'm already way better than I thought I'd ever be, but for now I'm simply playing for fun and not bothering trying to get any better.
On a semi-related note, I may send you my XBL details before I come up next weekend, with the length of time it takes to retrieve my profile it could be a good idea to get it before I'm there, if it's possible :)
Was gonna suggest similar, either you giving me your or me giving you mine and you bringing the hard drive down (lost internet for a good 18 hours, would worried at one point that it might drag our all week )
I phoned Mrs. Feek yesterday afternoon at about 16:00 and she said she'd had to put down the guitar to answer the phone.
When I got home, a tad after 19:00, she was strumming. I asked if she'd been playing it since I spoke to her earlier, she flushed and said "No".
The kids told me differently :D
Yay, I hit five stars on a Medium song! I know it's not much compared to what you guys are doing but I'm really quite pleased with that.
"Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo" – Rick Derringer
Love playing that, lots of ups and downs and finger twitching stuff :)

Nice one Feek! Getting 5 stars on medium isn't easy when you're fairly new to the game, so congrats :) The medium career does get a fait bit harder as you go on, but if you're getting 5 stars early on you should be able to complete it with no bother :)
Well that song's in the 5th venue, but it just clicked :)
I've got 5 stars on all easy and have worked my way through all the medium ones now. Found hard a bit too tough so am working on getting better at medium and then will move on to hard again :)

The addition of the extra button really threw me. I didn't know whether to use my little finger or move my hand. If you want to try expert at some point, it's definitely better if you try to use your little finger more, as you simply can't get through expert without it.

I've not got all the easy ones on 5 stars yet, but am popping back to them as I'm working through the mediums. The easy ones are certainly a lot easier than when I started :)
What's the score with unlocking songs? I had SCOM as an Encore (bloody difficult that was) but I don't think that's an actual unlock?
Nay, the unlock songs (for the achievements anyway) are the ones you buy in the store :)
The transition from medium to hard was definitely the biggest learning curve in the game for me. The pace is much faster, you have to learn to move your hand, and the chord combinations get a bit crazier. It's great when it all falls into place though, you start nailing everything and it feels awesome :)
Well I picked it up again this evening and I've now only got Free Bird to play to complete all the songs on medium. The last couple of songs were really difficult for me and I had a real problem getting any kind of streak on them but I muddled through!
I failed Free Bird though at 68% and I seemed to have been playing it for ages just to get that far.
Gave up for tonight, my fingers were sore after nearly three hours of playing, time just goes by so fast on this game. I'm having problems typing as my fingers aren't hitting the right keys and I've had to correct myself so many times, it's untrue!
Very addictive game. I've not played anything else since I got it.
