FAO: Haly or anyone who can help really

I want to kjnow if there is anywhere in the North West where I can take a group of Year 10's to look at multimedia and take part in activities.

They are studying a unit where they have to create a game based on a theme of their choice. It is very basic design they need to do, just looking for somewhere to take them that could inspire them a bit that woiuldn't take too long to get to and from.

Any of the local museums have interactive games or activities you could look at? Given my lack of up-to-date educational knowledge I may be way off the mark for what you're aiming at there, but it was the first thing that popped into my head. :)
