MSN Live Messenger - Connection Retries

Usually when I start up messenger I get a few connection failures. I just Retry through them and eventually it connects and works fine after that.

My Live Messenger install has been patched and prodded lots. I'm not sure if this problem is a consequence or not, so does anyone else get similar?

I had something similar earlier, wouldn't connect at all, took about 4 or 5 attempts before it connected.

Weird thing was Jackie was chatting on the PC at the same time, she conneced first time. :dunno:

It's possible. I'd bin the firewall if this box was running SP2, but it's still on SP1 and I'm scared to upgrade it. I'll eventually get around to reformatting the sod. :/

I get it every now and then - I agree witht the brain fart suggestion :)

I get it quite often, takes more than one attempt to connect

Good - not just me after all then. I thought I might have ended up being embarrassed by the firewall thing. :eek:
