Just been reading this (http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/755/755917p1.html) ign and wondered what people thought? Never played half life 2 as my PC has been in bits for the last 5 years :embarassed: but wondered if this was worth the money?

More than worth it I'd say. The original Half-life is, and probably always will be, the better game for atmosphere, length and gameplay but the sequel and its episodes look great, are very immersive and from the look of it, a great deal if you buy them all together.

I think my original Half Life on the PC was in an orange box.

I don't really "do" games, but HL2 (and 1) were some of the best games I've ever played.

I have the original half life but never player 2 so I think I'll pick it up then, should be good on the 360 :)

EDIT: just been looking to see if anywhere has it but nothing so far.

I'm going to go against the grain and say I was never overly impressed by either Half Lifes :/
I really wanted to like them, they just didn't keep me interested.

I think with the first one it may have been because I played Deus Ex first and it felt like such a superior game to Half Life 1 that I just didn't really see the point.

They did have some nice touches to them though from a cinematic perspective however.

It won't be out until the summer I don't think, when Episode 2 is released.

I really enjoyed the first half-life game, played it right through to completion over a weekend. Hopefully the 2nd will be as good.

I'll have to have a look at this, never got into HL on the pc, don't think I gave it enough time.

It seems like a pretty good price if you haven't got HL2 already, I've played through it properly once and partly a couple more times and it is a good game but probably not one that I enjoyed quite as much as HL. The gravity gun is very cool though, since you liked the first I can't see you not enjoying the second.

Just noticed you want to get it on the 360, why man, why? It is like playing pool on a computer when you have a pool table next to you, a rough approximation of the fun but nowhere near as worthwhile. I should of course say at this point that I have never got into FPS games on a console and really didn't like Halo so it might be quite good but I have major doubts. :)

Well the first reason is I have a 360 :D the second is that my PC was last upgraded around 6 years ago so in order to get HL2 running on it well I'd have to spend more money than the game when I can simply play it on our 360 just paying the price of the game :)

If the controls are anything like they are in gears I'll do fine ;)

I got sucked in big time to HL and HL2. I still playing them both too, I just started HL2 over again from scratch before going off to New York.
