Not sure if this will work as it was a link I was sent in a newsletter, but if you create an account at audible.co.uk you may be able to get this for free. I just have!

It'll let me do it, but it wants me to install some software. Dont think they cater for Linux users at the moment ;)

Ah yes, you have to put the audible manager on, it's about a 1MB download. You can always uninstall afterwards I think (on Windows at any rate!).

Technically it's an old Greek poem, but it's the story of the final year of the Trojan war (Paris, Achilles, Poseidon, Hector, Odysseus etc., all that lot). It's the first of two epic poems, the second being The Odyssey.

Edit: This is the unabridged version. 16+ hours long. :o

Annoyingly wooden so far. :( Hoping I'll just get used to it though.

Ohhh might have to do this- thanks for the tip off. I have read it and it is one I would like to reread so an audio version sounds good. Then I might have to watch 'Oh brother where art thou?' again :)
