Has anyone got one of these? If so I have a few questions:

Does it track well?

Is it comfortable?

What's the build quality like?

I replaced an MX1000 with a Razer Copperhead and I've already had 1 replacement. The build quality of them seems fairly poor imo and I think I'd like to go back to logitech.

What's the build quality like? Very Good .....But im on my second one seemed to be a problem with the link between the mouse and usb dongle

It last about 5 days of constant use before the red light comes on and then it'll last another day quite easily for me.

I've been using it for about 3 months now, the wheel was the big change for the mouse compared to all other mouse. I love it now especially when scrolling down webpages, it just glides down them double quick.

Apparently it only has an 800DPI sensor - which probably is enough, however I think I may pickup a G7.

Yup, I've installed it. The thumb wheel now turns the volume up and down and pressed on it will make it mute. Middle click button works like all other mouse, ie - links to a new tab in Firefox. The only button that's redundant is the button below the wheel.

Have you noticed that it changes from free scroll to click scroll for ya ?

I was sitting here for hours trying to work out if the mouse was broken then i did a few tests and worked it out !!!

Yeah, i noticed that. There is a setting in the software for this. There are basically 3 modes

1 - Click all the time
2 - Free wheel all the time

And to switch between them, press down on the wheel.

Or what I use

3 - Click all the time until it spin above a certain speed. Which is what I like when web browsing, slow click wheel when reading a page slowly and if I want to get to the bottom of a long page i flick it with my finger and it goes into a free wheel mode and it scrolls that the page double quick.

You can also assign the wheel to go into certain modes for any specific program.

are you running XP or Vista ?

Im on Vista using the 64bit drivers

What i have found is when i open a window with a small scroll bar if the wheel is in free wheel mode as i go to move it it changes to click mode like it knows its a small page, also if i close all windows from the desktop it does the same.
As soon as i open a web page like the forums here it will switch back to free wheel mode

Excellent mouse but like ray i've set the mouse wheel back to middle button, because its weird otherwise, but i've though about setting the button just before the wheel to middle button instead, i'm not sure yet...

Now i just need a Dinovo Edge to complete the look, shame i don't have a spare £100+ for a keyboard :p

That dinovo edge looks so good, damnit. Anyway - my G7 arrived today and it's brillaint, much better than my copperhead.

I have one and find it to feel cheaper than my last mouse ( mx700 ) , battery life is about 3 days for me , it is reasonably comfortable but no more so that many cheaper mice

oh and the scroll wheel is 'orrible , feels cheap and the free wheel mode was a apin so I turned it off

I'm not that impressed with it, does feel cheaply made which it shouldn't at the price

I'm quite impressed with my G7. It looks shinier as well :D.
