With exchange rates the way they are right now, buying an ipod from Apple is cheaper than getting one in the UK. Does anyone know if it will be any different from a UK one?

Don't forget to allow for customs charges when importing (usually around 21% plus a handling fee of £5-£10). Also, check you won't run into any warranty problems should it break.

:) Thanks Kitten, i reckon i'm going to go for the dixons one as it seems like a good deal. From the UK shop the iPod is £129.

I got a Nano last May in Toronto. Last I heard they have a worldwide warranty which is why I got it. I charge it via USB so no power issues. I haven't had a single problem with it.

If the product is portable, meaning that it can operate independently without a power cord, you may obtain warranty service worldwide.

I am proud of you my young padawan :)

Since the death of my 2GB SD Card on my phone I have returned to using my Zen Xtra 'brick model'.

30GB, and whilst it weighs more than me then it's awesome :)

Long live Creative!
