Assuming the list is true, I'm loving it a whole lot. There's no stupid emphasis on online play, meaning that as long as you develop the skill, all the achievements are realistically gettable, though from having the first game I know just how hard it would be to own every car from each region. I reckon to get the Car Broker achievement you'll either need to sell cars really cheaply, or do some excellent designs/car setups to make your car much more likely to be bought.
Who else is getting it anyway? I've done a lot of reading about this game, and have lots of ideas about what I want to do in it as well. 8th June can't come quickly enough :D
Personally I can't wait for this :)
I have the CE version on pre-order at play.com. I'd love a demo about now though :D

Me too, the demo has been rumoured for this week, so I hope that news is right.
I'll get the CE pre-ordered at Gameplay when I'm sure I'll have the funds, I want it a day early like usual :D
I want my fully tuned-up and pimped-out Skyline now damnit! :D

I'll certainly be giving this demo a crack when it arrives. I've never really been into racing games but did enjoy GT on the PS2. I'm really looking forward to the DIRT game that is coming out, I really like Rally games :)

Whats the CE version and what extras does it have?

The Collectors Edition includes some cars that you won't be able to get in the normal version. As far as I know they're not super-will-win-you-every-race cars, but they're only in the CE version, you won't be able to buy them in the auction house online. I think it also includes a big book with lots of game info (or possibly car info, the info on the CE is quite limited). For an extra £5 it might not be worth it, but I like getting the Collector's Edition stuff for games I like :)
Edit: Unconfirmed cars in the CE are 2006 Saleen S281 E(USA), Ferrari Challenge Stradle(Italy), and a Suburu Impreza S204(Japan).
I'm a sucker for CE stuff too. "A game in a tin? Sold!" I'll also be getting it. I didn't really play too much of Forza 1 but I would love to get into Forza 2. Its got everything I want.

I'm going to try the demo of Forza 2, I want to like it. I just didn't like the original :/

I've just watching a video from a french site where a guy bought a Porsche GT3, spent ages upgrading the thing (the vid was in french obviously, but I could make out intake, exhaust, turbo, springs, tyres, and weight reduction, among others), spent just as long with the visuals (colours, decals, vinyl), then take it around a track to test it. The car shifted something fantastic, until the last corner when he took it too wide, slammed into the tyre wall, and removed both his front and rear bumpers in one fell swoop. The game looks smegging fantastic :D
Edit: On second viewing his left wing mirror comes off as well. All debris stays on the track too :)

I really like how the achievements are laid out. The easy achievements only score you a few points, while the really hard ones give you a lot more. That's exactly how it should be and gives you extra incentive to play more and become good at the game.
Demo news coming "today" apparently. So probably tomorrow.

Che (one of the guys working for Turn 10) has confirmed that people with racing wheels should get ready for tonight. As they're over in the US, I can only assume that the demo will go up at some point overnight (or very early morning) and we'll be able to get it tomorrow. I'll be coming home at lunch to kick off the download if it's not ready before I go to work :)
Reckon I'll give the demo a go to see what I think :)

There's a lot more cars there. I went home for lunch with the intention of kicking it off, hoping that it might be done by the time I got home a little over 3 hours later. I wasn't expecting it to download all 670MB inside 25 mins, giving me enough time to have a quick race. Started off in a Porsche 911 Turbo, 4th on the grid, and despite a slow start managed to finish 3rd, with only a Sagaris and Viper SRT10 ahead of me. With another lap or two I'd have won it as my 3rd lap was the fastest by anyone and I was catching them up nicely.
Graphically it looks very nice. Contrary to what some of the tools on OcUK have been saying (the thread over there is full of bickering, I'd have banned several if I was still Don there), even without AA in the demo the cars look great, a very obvious improvement over Forza 1. The Porsche handles beautifully, though there was some understeer as you'd expect with an AWD car. I'm going to give the Ford GT a try tonight as that much power through the back wheels should be fun to try to control :D
This is one game I'd HAVE to have....I love a good racer :D
When is this out?

1 exam away for me...which is next wednesday.
Same day as mine :D Good luck :)
It *shouldn't* be too bad...but knowing me it'll be rock hard. Hopefully that will be my last uni exam ever and I'll graduate - but this seems too good to be true
Good luck with your exams Haly & Show.
Good luck Show too :D Sorry got distracted by Robert having an exam the same day as me :embarassed:
Mine will be hard but it leaves only one obstacle between me and an Msc so it'll be nice to be over with. :D
Haha! Gonna do about 3-4 hours per day (except saturday) up until wednesday. It's also my final obstacle, one which I hope won't pose too much of a problem.
sods law it will tho...damnit.
Had a quick blast through some cars. Its good. Doesn't feel iffy like Test Drive did. I got used to TDU but FM2 seems like pick up n play fun. I love the breaking point thing too. Its dynamic so if I want to push things just a bit more than the game says I should I can and then it'll go bright red telling me to slow down. The damage model is nice too. The AI is still a bit odd. I parked in the middle of the road and they didn't stop. They just drove straight into me at 200mph. That seemed a bit odd.
Davey_Pitch
10-05-2007, 18:46
The damage model is indeed nice, but it's just cosmetic in the demo, I wanted to wreck my car and see how it would drive heavily damaged. I'll just have to do that when I get the game.
And I reckon the AI is on it's easiest setting, even driving the slowest class C car (the Ford Mustang) I was able to easily win the race. I hope that on harder settings the AI is much better at reacting to it's surroundings.
Something else for you driving fans: http://www.unclegamer.com/news/discuss/pgr_4_dynamic_weather_cars_and_career_mode/
:)
Hmm I just played the demo of Forza 2 and then Dirt. I enjoyed Dirt far more than Forza 2. Which is a shame. I do prefer the thrill of a rally track to that of a circuit so I may get that instead, even with the annoying "Dude!" announcer. Colin McRae Dirt, now with 100% less Scottishness.
Davey_Pitch
29-05-2007, 23:19
I didn't enjoy the Dirt demo anywhere near as much. It looks great, but just something about it didn't seem right, like the handling wasn't quite spot on maybe. I'm sure I'll end up getting it at some point, but it's Forza 2 by a mile at the minute :)
Now I've been playing both of these demos and I had high hopes for DiRT. But it just doesn't sit right with me :/
Graphically, it's superb although I think they've overdone the HDR look a little. The framerate also gets on my nerves a touch. I can just see it jumping every now and again. But the car handling is the real no no for me. It just seems like they've stuck a needle down through the roof and into the floor which the car pivots around. Just seems odd.
Now, Forza2 is where I'll be spending my money. It just seems to drive right. The graphics are still great (I can ignore the slight lack of AA) and the idea of the whole game is more for me.

Agreed completely. I've thrown the car around corners at 100MPH+ thanks to a little bit of handbraking. Now I've never driving a rally car before, but that doesn't feel right to me.

I thought the graphics were excellent, AA or not, and it definitely drives right as well. The lower powered cars are easy to handle, the R class cars are slightly twitchy at very high speeds. Like you said, it just feels right :)
It's a shame as I was looking forward to some dirt action (fnar!!).
I don't see the AA as an issue in F2, I only mentioned it as it seems to be a point of complaint for some people. I think the graphics and overall look are superb.
The IGN review was basically "OMG teh jaggies!!!!!111" which was odd because I never noticed that on my CRT. Gamespot gave it 9.3 I think and TeamXbox gave it about the same. They're only real issues were that the track seemed a bit bland and that the engines never really pop off the speaker. I think thats what I felt too. After playing Dirt and having the loud Evo engine screaming around the track thats one of the things I felt Forza didn't have. I'm gunna replay the demo in a bit and try to find the magic. The reviews say its awesome basically.
Some people do seem to get a tad obsessional about jaggies, personally if it's a fun game, I don't care in the slightest.
Have to download Dirt later on, looks worth a go :)
Anyone getting this tomorrow? The pokemon person in me wants it for car colllecting and decorating. However I was playing the demo and the sound kept annoying me. The car sounds are great, when you put it on the rear view camera. But you can't drive that way :D I want to love it so much because it has an AE86 and other fun cars. Game don't do 10 day returns anymore do they?

My first picture from Forza. It was the final turn on my 3rd race, and came from 2nd with a beautiful inside slide in my Supra 2.0 GT. It was a more powerful car ahead of me (Nissan Silva I think) so had to rely on cornering to win. Well happy with the photo mode, though I'm sure Pete could do better here :D

Just popped down to Tescos and got a copy for £35. That's my Friday afternoon sorted. pats 'working' from home
I went to Game, £40 for the normal ed. Went to Gamestation. £40. Went to trade in Splinter DA. £6 for that. £6?! No ta. Figured I might as well try and finish it than claim £6 back. I think what sold it to me was a quick go on the demo pod, in New York. Wow thats quite stunning. They also gave me one of the pre-order car codes for the Nissan 350Z. So I figure that was worth the trip.

I wasn't planning on buying it until I got back from Le Mans but I needed some lunch and after an altercation with a woman in the carpark who seemed intent on driving into my car I though I deserved a reward for not punching her side window in.
£6 for Splinter Cell DA?! Would have thought it'd be more, King Kong was £6 trade in and that sells for a lot less than Splinter Cell.
Should have said Pete :/

Hmm tempting. At that price I may as well just play it.

Its the best car there really. Sure you could get a TT but I preferred to get the mk2 and boost it with the left over cash. I just beat the Volkswagen challenge and they gave me an r32. Kinda pointless since my mk2 is faster ;)

I've been having fun with a 1970 Porsche 914 tonight, upgrading and using it to win the 150HP and 200HP challenges. It's a little tail happy but a bit of tuning and brake adjustments have toned that down slightly. Cracked level 20 and wondering where to go now. Think I made it a bit too easy for myself on the semi-pro challenges as the Elise is so much lighter than everything else it's virtually impossible to lose.
I did enjoy the 914 race series as I was actually forced to race.
Just reached lvl20 too. I did the first endurance race which made me very sleepy. I am enjoying the races that force me to have a car at the same level as everyone else. Like you I powered up a Lotus. I have an Exige that does 201mph. Its insanely quick.

I tried to max out a Caddy yesterday to win the American rivals race between Caddy and Corvette. Whatever you do do not put the alternative engine in and add 350bhp, what they don't tell you is that it also adds about a metric ton of weight to the front end and makes it TOTALLY impossible to handle. I put downforce the weight of a small planet and the Forza front dam on max downforce and the thing would NOT CORNER, totally nightmare. In the end I used a maxed out version of the original engine with a lot of downforce on front and back and managed to win but you really have to baby it through the corners, you have been warned!

I just ordered this from Currys and I've not even got the 360 connected up to the telly yet, nor have I bought a hard drive!!

If you can't afford to get a hard drive yet, at least try and pick up a memory card otherwise Forza wont be as much fun as you'll be starting afresh every time you load it up.

I've got a Corvette that I won that I'll use for those races, though I need to tweak it a little bit to make sure I have an extra edge over everyone.
And I must admit I came so close to hitting something while playing this last night. I've got a 1974 911 with a GT2 engine in which is a beast of a car, but slightly tail happy at times. I was using it in the Porcshe vs Ferrari race, and during the race clipped a wall twice, the first time taking off the rear bumper, the second time taking off the front bumper and slightly damaging the engine and suspension. Come the last lap I was in 4th place and 4 seconds behind the lead car, but a near perfect lap brought me to within touching distance of the lead car. I powered on the outside of him on the final bend, was overtaking him nicely, and slightly touched the wall. At 120MPH that sent me spinning and put me back into 4th place. I was pretty much still spinning when I went over the finish line, that's how close I was. To say I was unhappy would be an understatement :/
You can get the 64MB ones for a tenner off ebay I think, though I'm not sure how big the Forza saves actually are so it might be dead money.

I think I'm going to go more towards custom graphics rather than paintjobs. I'm not hugely artistic so thinking of good paintjobs it hard for me, but if I have a picture in front of me I can often make a good replica of it. My long term aim is to have this picture on my car....

If you don't like big american cars which won't handle then I found answer, theres a little Pontiac sports car the Solstice which with a bit of wing and lightening handles well enough to see off the opposition.
Also I found that the 914/6 factory spec race is quite easy to win and it gives you the Applied Materials Porka which is a monster and handles nicely, that will win you the Porka/ Fezza race easily for the XBOX Porka GT3 RSR which is a beast :D

There are a few cars which you come across which really suit your driving style and others you have to really work to master. The little 914/6 is a bit snappy and tends to have a loose rear (oo err) but for some people I expect it will be ideal. I really like the Applied Materials GT3 it just has enough oversteer to slide the corners and power out, I lapped some serious opposition in it :)

Very good review though I have spotted a small error
The lack of tracks is the single biggest flaw in the game, and it is a massive oversight, just to re-iterate, how you can make a game with over 300 tracks and think that a low amount of tracks will go down well is beyond me
Guess that should be cars. Pretty much agree with your review, I've spend the last couple of days "working" from home so have been playing it a lot and after ~20 hours of game time I am sick and tired of the tracks to the point that I am thinking of selling it on while I can still get a good price :(
I just got stuck in a rut - It took me 45 minutes to win one race in the nasty dirty stinking V6 Clio because I kept losing it on the last corner.
Now I've come to a halt on the proving grounds. I assumed that I'd win enough cars to go through and be able to do all sections of it but apart from the final stage which needs level 10 (I'm on 9) there are two others I can't do because I've not got the right car. I thought I'd won all the races I've done so far in the proving ground.

Feek, I'm up to level 28 and I've still not done all the Proving Ground stuff yet as I've not got a car heavy enough to do the last challenge. I just went through the various sections doing the races I wanted (often because I wanted the bonus car) and going from there.

That's very kind, but there's no need, I've got nearly a mill in credits, it's just getting around to it when I'm done with the higher level stuff :)
Speaking of that, I did one of the endurance races yesterday, the class B race, and forgot to tune my Skyline before I started it, so I was actually the 4th more powerful car in the race. Thankfully after about 10 laps of near perfect driving I'd opened up a 10 second lead which was never clawed back. I would have hated crashing near the end of that and having to do it again :/

I did! I was racing, had a 16 second lead and as I was going around a corner on the 28th lap one of the lapped cars nudged me into a 360 well off the track. Thankfully I won the face, but only with a just under 4 second lead which was gained in the final lap! I was absolutely fuming up until I won.
Heh heh, I'd be fuming after 28 laps although I think I did a lot more than that trying to win the race with that bloody Clio. I was 5.5 seconds in the lead half way round the final lap and lost it on the final corner.
That last sentence can be repeated about ten times, the only difference being the time ahead each time!
Ho hum, off to work.

Did the first Pro race which is Group D, I actually found it quite easy with a MX-5, they handle brilliantly and with a racing gearbox and spoiler pretty much out corner any other group D.
I think the racing gearbox is probably the killer app for most cars, it lets you get every bit of power out of an engine rather than have a load of useless top end :)

On GT3 I felt there was a definate advantage to the FF configuration and the 4x4s were just too dominant, with Forza I found that the two cars I like the most so far are the MX5 and the 911 GT3 RSR two cars I would have hated in GT3. I also have found that Forza makes you drive properly, with GT games I just bullied the cars around the corners and didn't worry about traction loss, with Forza you can tell you are losing power if your rear wheels are squeeling around the corner, it makes you brake in a straight line and go to the apex properly :)

The 1974 911? I dropped a GT2 engine in it and bought all the handing mods and spanking new tyres. It was a little tail happy but beyond that it was very easy to win the races as it was just so much faster than anything else.
I'm not too high on credits after having bought and fitted the Lotus so I'm trying to do as much as I can now with cars at stock or with just a few cheap mods. It's quite rewarding to win races from a fair way back in the field even on 'novice' level!

The best mods you can do (IMHO) are the weight reduction and the handling mods. The weight reduction will give you a good acceleration increase without kicking up your HP (important for some events) while the braking and handling mods will allow you to brake later and therefore be faster around the track. They're the ones I generally do if I don't want to spend too much on a car.
Beware though that the full weight reduction will generally increase your car class (often by 2 classes), so if the event if class specific you'd be better improving elsewhere first.

If you want some good cars then do the factory spec races, they aren't too hard and all the cars are exactly the same spec :)
Do the first couple they release some top motors, also try and win the ab Flug RX7 that thing flies with low HP and handles well so will get you the HP based semi pro races easily, just mod it up to just below the next level each time and go racing. :)

Here's my Golf GTi on the final lap of the first endurance race I've done. About 55 minutes, the car is unmodified and I started from the back of the grid. I lapped everyone but those in second and third, yay!

Still one of the best looking cars I have ever seen.
Hired a driver to do the endurance races for me so netted a few quid last night and this morning. Just stick him in a car and let him go for an hour.
I'm not going to be doing this all the time though. I don't want to have a massive stack of money that I can just chuck around. I want to work my way through the game and gradually buy cars and upgrade them.
I've only bought two cars, the Lotus and the heavyweight thing that was mentioned earlier in this thread so I could do the last of the Prooving ground races to get the Achievement. Due to doing the upgrade thing I've found my wallet sitting between 50k and 100k most of the time although it's higher than that now having done an Endurance last night.
Guess it's spend time! I want a Dodge Charger.

Feek
I would stongly consider doing the factory spec races, they free up some good cars and the cars you need to buy to enter are cheap because you can't mod them. I did the MX5 race on moderate AI without too many problems and the reward car is pretty handy :)
I can't remember which race gives you the abflug RX7 but thats a great tool and I've won most of the semi pro races by upgrading it progressively.
One of the issue with games like this is the progression and having enough money to buy cars and move on, I wonder how many races you will be able to enter/ win with the charger in comparision to say a light quick jap car.

I am, MB, I'm slowly working my way through the races and seeing what they unlock and what that unlocking opens up for further racing. I think I've unlocked about 30% now so am coming along quite nicely.
The feeling of want for a Charger is just for a car to play around with, it's not for any specific race. It's just a shame it's not a '69 ;)

Moneywise I'm at level 28 or so and have well over 1 million credits, simply as I've only bought one car and then done enough upgrades to my current cars to give me whatever edge I need for a race, so I've never spent that much money. Having that much money will help when I decide to start collecting cars from each region, buying the ones I can't win.
Do me a favour Davey, go into the online live bit and add me as a friend... :)
Anybody know anything about these? http://www.mysupido.com/
Got one on order from Amazon, thought it was worth a punt for £20.

Will do when I get in, with the 360 dead I've not really thought about it :)
Oh wow....had a good long blast with the wheel earlier and it's awesome IMO :D
I must admit that when I first tried it I was a bit "oh, this is gonna be hard" and wasn't sure how much use I'd get. But now I've spent a bit of time getting it set up properly in the options, I'm really getting a feel for it.
Stuck myself in an RS4 so traction wasn't a major issue. Did a few races and really started to get a feel for what the car was doing. I could feel the edge of grip from the force feedback and then it all went light in the skid. It's really good.
I then moved onto some rear wheel drive cars and after some more learning, I'm getting the knack of those too.
I'm now using the bonnet view which I've never done in a racer before and, along with the wheel, has made it so much more fun.
I'm really chuffed with it :D

You've got more patience than I have. I really can't be bothered to do a proper pic, although I do prefer a more "race" look to the car anyway.
Here's my recent purchase...a GT3 on the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca...

Was just reading this (http://www.360-gamer.com/news.asp?id=1173) and wondered if any of you lot had seen anything like this?
Well I bought the General Lee from the auction with a confederate flag on the roof which some people consider racist.

Did you hire a real person or was that ingame?

In game I suspect, the option is on the screen just before the start of the race and you can choose between one who is really good and can win in an inferior car and ones which aren't as good but will win in a well speced motor.

That's always gonna be a risk a developer takes wherever they add an editor into it. It's no more racist than making an all white/black football team and naming it so in Fifa/Pro Evo, just in a case where it comes to selling it on an auction it stands out.
there is nothing Microsoft can do about it and unfortunately it's something we will have to deal with, personally it doesn't bother me, there will always be racism from both whites and blacks which is a shame, but I've come to deal with it.
Lapping the complete field, plus double lapping someone should be an achievement!
Read this over at AVF and thought it was quite funny...
I was on lap 19 of 25 in an endurance race, mile in front, and my car stopped accelarating.
I thought maybe the pad was running out of battery, so I plugged the charger cable in. However the pad was still letting me pause, and move up & down the menus, etc.
I hadn't pitted at all, so do you think I maybe ran out of petrol?
I would have thought the game would have told me if I had - but it didn't, it just sat there, doing nothing, the car wouldn't move?
;D
It was. And everybody was taking the piss ;D
Just hit level 30 last night as I completed the Silverstone endurance race and at (I think) around 150k points to level 31, I can see it being quite a slog to unlock the level 35 races and OMG HOW LONG? to make the level 40 achievement.

You are WAY ahead of me, Last night, I was about 200points from level 20!!!!
Well I might as well update where I got to before it died :D
Up to level 28 I think it is. Currently racing in the Corvette championship or whatever it's called. It's the last one I can finish in that category as the others are currently locked.
I've also been doing lots of time trials in arcade mode and also the exhibition races and only have the last 3 to go.
Did some more time trials and exhibition races yesterday. Think there's only 3 time trials left to do now.
I've got a silver in the Mugello exhibition race which I know I can win a gold in. But it's damn hard work trying to get anywhere at the ring  Just need some more practice at it really. I can get the lead and hold it. But one little mistake sees you back in 8th place and then it's REALLY hard to get back to a decent place again. If I can just get 2 clean laps in I'll be fine.
Been time trialing for the last 2 hours. Got myself all sorted and completed all but the Ring. I've just spent the last hour trying to crack it. Target time is 7.09 and the best I got was 7.13.
I've got aching fingers now....but will go back and give it another shot tomorrow :D
Yeah, but I don't always use it :)
Thought I was only going to have a quick spin so grabbed a pad.
Managed to crack the Ring last night ... FNAR!!!
Finished with a 7.07. I could still do better but I'll leave it at that....all arcade time trials finished :D
I bet you were shouting at it as you were approaching the line! *go faster!*
I wasn't far off :D
I didn't think I was going to make it as I was trying to add up my time and the penalty time as I was going ;D
Done it :D
Finished off the two remaining arcade exhibition races so I'm 100% finished with arcade mode :)
Now I'm stuffed. Just went to race the final level of the Corvette manufacturer races and I had the xbox hang up, which it's done before if there's a speck of dust on the disk. Took the disk out and it's got a ring of scratches just under an inch from the outside edge.
Cleaned it, tried to race again and after a few minutes loading the race I got a dashboard message telling me that it can't read from the disk. No **** Sherlock :(
Not really sure what to do now, I don't have my receipt for the game (it was bought cash from Currys) so I can't take it back for replacement but if the box is scratching disks then it's a bit worrying. I've never heard of that before.
It was a common fault with the launch units actually. RMA job for both most likely, though I'm not sure what you'll get out of MS Forza wise.
Oh that's frustrating. I'll call MS tomorrow.
In the meantime, I've moved all games away from the console. I'm not having any more get damaged :(
Arcade games only for now then :(

Be prepared to be on hold for a while when you ring them. I finally got around to ringing them tonight about returning my 360, was on hold for just under an hour before I got through to someone. Speak slowly as well, they're American so they may have trouble with your accent (or it could just be my scouse). They're very polite and friendly though, and will repeat everything back 3 times to make sure they have it right, so I can't fault them for that.
Took about half an hour of holding then I spoke to an English guy, at one point I asked where they are and he said "mainland Europe, and that's all we're allowed to say".
All sorted, they've mailed me a label for arranging collection and repair. He also said that I need to take a photograph of the game disk and email that through to the game replacement system to get a replacement FoC.
I'm pleased it's developed a fault early, but I'm annoyed because I'll be without it for a month.
Heads up Forza people, title update coming, probably this week:
In the update will be numeros fixes:
# Deny gifting and reselling of cars with locked paintjobs. Why? Because this will help alleviate the problem where an artist’s precious limited edition car gets duplicated and sold on the Auction House. The only way you can sell or gift a car with a locked livery is by being the original owner/artist of the car.
# A temporary ban on the Lotus Elan use on scoreboards and in multiplayer. Why? There is an error with the Lotus Elan’s performance index calculation that puts the car at a lower class despite its capabilities, resulting in the Elan mass dominating the scoreboards in D and C class. This temporary ban will not allow you to upload lap times to the scoreboards when you use the car in career mode, and prohibits you from using the car at all in online races. When we roll out our permanent PI fix for the Elan in a future patch, we’re going to lift the ban. Sorry for the draconian measure — we really didn’t like imposing this sort of restriction on the community but this is necessary.
# Allow cars to be fully rotated while being viewed in the Auction House. Why? Because so many of you asked for the camera to be unlocked in Auction House so you can look at the paintjob on the roof of the car we thought we should do good by the community.
# A number of scoreboard problems have been fixed. These range from the glitch where if the AI did not relinquish control of your car after the rolling start, you would inadvertently post a corrupt superhuman lap time in the micro-seconds, to several “extreme” physics bugs folks have been exploiting to get crazy fast lap times (lag crash boosting and the shifting glitch).
# Removed host’s ability to boot players during a race. Why? Because this feature, although handy at times, was getting abused by hosts who kicked folks who were in the lead of a race where the stakes were high (i.e., credits were on the table). Don’t worry, you can still kick people to your heart’s content in the lobby.
# Miscellaneous fixes aplenty. Like what? Various discovered Auction House bugs that could potentially cause players to lose credits or cars. At least one triple-screen bug fix for sync’ing issues, as well as an undiscovered quickmatch bug that always connected you to the same game upon attempt.
Mine updated this evening :)
Well I'm still banging away (fnar)!
Moved up a few levels and finished off a couple more championships.
Anybody grabbed the new DLC? Some FREE Nissan cars are available and there's a Peugeot for 50 points. I've got them downloaded but not had a spin in them yet.
