Puzzle Quest and DS Supercard problem

Just got out my supercard and DS for the first time in a while. Updated the firmware and put some games on the card, all work fine except Puzzle Quest :(
Just get a white screen then and nothing. I had a black screen with a couple before I remembered to update the firmware but afaik everything's updated and Puzzle Quest won't work.
Any ideas?

This is mainly for my Mum admittedly ;D She saw it in Gamestation and liked the look of it, but I'm sure I'll have a go at it too.
