Yes, I know it's too small (;) @ Dee)

Seriously though, watch the clip, and keep an eye 1/3 of the way up the screen. The picture kind of 'breaks', like the bottom third is ever so slightly offset by the top 2. Occurs when there's a lot happening on screen (rapid colour changes), and only just started. You can really see it when the camera zooms out from that van.

TV's ~18 months or so old, and is a Samsung 23". I'm sure there's a term for what's happening, and I'm sure one of you folk will know it so I can read up on it :)

My PC has no idea how to play that file, and I have no idea of the term you're after either, other than from the description what you might be seeing is a phenomenon called 'tearing'.

Tearing is the sort of thing that happened in computer games where the video frame generation wasn't synchronised to the video output (you'd see part of one frame and part of the next at the same time). Not something I've come across in regular TV though I'm sure it could happen with the modern era of digital TV.

VLC plays it fwiw. If it's a common problem I'll get something to spit it out in another format :)
